Description

As a QA Automation Engineer with 2–3 years of experience, you will collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure the quality of our web-based and API platforms. Your primary focus will be on writing and executing automated test scripts using Cypress and TypeScript/JavaScript. You will be responsible for reporting defects, tracking issues, and helping maintain the overall quality of our products.

Requirements

Required Skills (Primary):

• Strong knowledge on Testing case design techniques and testing practices
• Experience in using Cypress Automation tool for Web & API testing.
• Experience in using TypeScript/JavaScript.
• Knowledge on JEST Framework
• Knowledge on GitHub, Jira, Confluence.
• Comfortable working on Mac OS X and cloud-based test environments.
• Knowledge of AWS DevOps and CI/CD pipelines.
• Working experience in Agile/Scrum

Preferred/Secondary Skills:

• Knowledge of GraphQL, VS Code, Yarn.
• Experience with Cypress Cloud analytics and monitoring.
• API Testing using Postman/Rest Assured/Cypress
• Knowledge on Test rail as a Test Management tool
• Experience of working on ecommerce Applications

Job responsibilities

Roles and Responsibilities (2-3 Years)

Test Case Design & Execution

• Collaborate with product owners and developers to understand requirements and create comprehensive test plans.
• Design and maintain test cases ensuring maximum coverage.

Automation Scripting

• Write, update, and maintain automated test scripts using Cypress (Web & API) in TypeScript/JavaScript.
• Ensure that test scripts align with established coding standards and best practices.

Functional & Non-Functional Testing

• Execute regression, functional, performance, and smoke tests across multiple platforms and environments.
• Report and track defects using Jira.

Version Control & Collaboration

• Use GitHub for code versioning and branching strategies.
• Collaborate with the team in Confluence to maintain documentation and knowledge sharing.

Agile Methodologies

• Participate in daily stand-ups, sprint planning, and retrospectives.
• Provide timely updates and feedback on testing progress and defects.

Continuous Improvement

• Work with senior engineers to improve and optimize existing test frameworks.
• Show initiative in learning new tools and technologies relevant to the QA domain.

DevOps & Cloud Environment

• Demonstrate basic knowledge of AWS DevOps and CI/CD pipelines.
• Use cloud-based test environments to run and manage automated tests.
