MUST Have Skills
~15 years of experience in Media, Embedded and OS domain with Bachelor’s degree in CS/EC Engineering
Proven track record of hands-on engineering management
Strong understanding of Software/Firmware Development life cycle .
Strong Understanding of TV-OS stack, Streaming, STB and Multimedia Testing(Automation and Manual) with different SoC families.
Excellent interpersonal,communication and presentation skills.
Experience in client and stakeholder management
Strong problem-solving and analytical abilities.
Demonstrated ability to lead and motivate project teams.
Experience in team building/expansion and people management
Excellent understanding of SDLC, Agile, Waterfall methodologies etc
Proficiency in various project management tools – JIRA,Confluence, MS PowerPoint, MS Excel
Highly Desirable (To stand out from the crowd)
Experience in TV-OS End to End Stack
Exposure to SoC Architectures
Exposure towards Android/iOS development
Exposure towards cloud ,DevOps , data analytics
Background in C/C++ Programming
Experience working with onshore-offshore model

About The Role (What you will be doing)

Our client has a Smart TV OS product and is building a development team with various engineering streams (Dev, QA, DevOps, Mobility, UI etc). We are looking for a Sr Engineering Manager with C++/Linux/Embedded background alongwith Program/Project Management skills. You will be leading a team of 50+ engineers and will be involved in

Delivery Excellence – Own the software delivery and ensure quality and adherence to release timelines

Client Communication, understand the client’s product and skillset requirement

Oversee the hiring process for the team, in partnership with recruiting, to grow a diverse and inclusive team.

Coach & and extend hands-on technical mentorship to the software engineering team to build the next generation of leaders.

Determine the strategic direction of the Accounts & Identities architecture.

Encourage innovation, teamwork, implementation of cutting-edge technologies, and outside-of-the-box thinking.

Participate in the Agile development process, including scoping, technical design, estimation effort, coding, testing, debugging, code reviews, maintenance and support.
