Job responsibilities

Architect and oversee the development of high-performance Android applications, ensuring alignment with enterprise-grade standards and Swift best practices
Lead discussion with Internal project stakeholders as well as client stakeholders including Architects and Managers
Drive the strategic execution of complex feature roadmaps, managing the full lifecycle from conceptual architecture to global deployment
Establish engineering excellence by institutionalizing rigorous code review processes and mentoring talent to elevate technical capabilities across the organization
Orchestrate cross-functional collaboration between UI/UX and Backend teams to deliver seamless, API-driven user experiences and robust system integrations
Proactively identify and mitigate technical debt, optimizing application performance and scalability to maintain a superior user experience
Serve as the primary technical authority for key workstreams, championing innovation and the continuous professional growth of the engineering team
Assist in the distribution of beta builds to stakeholders via Firebase App Distribution or Play Store Internal Testing, ensuring correct versioning.

 

Must Have

Expert proficiency in Kotlin, with a mastery of structured concurrency, memory management, and high-performance coding practices.
Advanced application of SOLID principles and design patterns to build scalable and maintainable systems.
Deep expertise in Jetpack Compose, Kotlin Coroutines, and Flow (for reactive streams), as well as experience with the View system and XML layouts.
Proficient with MVVM, MVI, or Clean Architecture patterns.
Implementation of safe, thread-safe asynchronous code using modern Kotlin features (Coroutines, Channels, Mutex).
Advanced integration of RESTful services using Retrofit, OkHttp, and modern serialization (Kotlinx Serialization/Moshi).
Expert knowledge of Git, including advanced branching strategies, rebasing, and conflict resolution.
Experience with Gradle (Kotlin DSL/Groovy), Version Catalogs, and modularization strategies.
Expert-level skills in Material Design, responsive layouts for various screen densities, and building programmatic UIs.
Architecting comprehensive test suites using JUnit and Mockk to ensure robust business logic and code quality.
Extensive experience with CI/CD pipelines and automated deployment using Fastlane, Bitrise, or Jenkins.
Proficient with Android Studio and Profilers (for memory leak detection, energy usage, and CPU profiling).
Implementation of advanced security protocols, including Certificate Pinning, Root Detection, and Android Keystore System integration.
Strategic leveraging of AI-assisted development tools (e.g., GitHub Copilot, Cursor) to optimize development velocity
Familiarity with dependency injection frameworks such as Hilt or Dagger2, or Koin to facilitate modularity and testing.
Expert in following Android application development guidelines and Accessibility guidelines
Knowledge of play Store deployment pipelines and mobile-specific development guidelines and app store smooth publishing

 

Good to Have

Practical experience with Kotlin Multiplatform Mobile (KMM) for cross-platform logic sharing.
Proficiency in maintaining and migrating legacy Java codebases within modern Kotlin environments.
Experience optimizing applications for diverse form factors, including Tablets.
Implementation of secure authentication workflows, including Biometrics (BiometricPrompt), AccountManager, and Certificate Pinning.
Exposure to GraphQL (Apollo) for efficient data fetching and complex API integrations.
