The Java SmartStart Program is back for its 3rd edition in Romania! This intensive program is designed for tech students who want to deepen their Java knowledge and gain hands-on experience in a collaborative, mentor-led environment.

With guidance from experienced trainers, access to curated learning materials, and support from a vibrant community, you’ll be well-equipped to take your first steps into the tech industry.

Launch Your Software Development Journey at GlobalLogic

Program Highlights

Period: July 6th – September 4th, 2026.
Maximum Spots: We are limiting participation to 50 students.
Format: Online (Blended learning with live lectures + self-paced study).

Learning Hours:
320+ hours of self-study via custom-built modules on our GLX platform.
40+ hours of live lectures led by senior Java experts from GlobalLogic.
Priority: Special focus and priority selection for students who need to accomplish their mandatory university practice.
Guidance: A dedicated group mentor (Java buddy) will support your learning journey and provide professional insights (available in Romanian for local support). The program’s instruction, including live lectures, will unfold in English.

Qualifications & Requirements

We are looking for motivated students who meet the following criteria:

Academic Base: Currently enrolled as a student at the Polytechnic University of Bucharest.
Core Programming: A basic understanding of Object-Oriented Programming (OOP) and Java fundamentals.
Data Knowledge: Familiarity with simple SQL queries and database concepts.
Communication: Proficiency in English (Intermediate to Upper-Intermediate level), both written and spoken.
Availability: Commitment to complete the full 360+ hour learning path within the specified period (July 6th – September 4th, 2026)
