Description
Global Logic is looking to add a Kotlin Multiplatform engineer for eBike ecosystem applications to its team in Iasi.
In this role, you will be part of a colocated team which implements the core applications for e-bike production and maintenance systems. The work is focused on creating an application that enables factories around the globe to produce e-bikes in the most efficient a trace-able way and also an application for dealers and retailers to maintain and service the bikes.
This will be a dynamic environment, where you have the chance to participate throughout the complete software development lifecycle, including the design and architectural decisions, and to focus on software quality through peer reviews, refactoring, continuous integration and deployment.
You will be part of our dedicated team in Iasi and will connect with software engineers and leaders from our client.
Requirements
- 7+ years of professional software development experience in mobile (Android/iOS), with at least 2+ years of hands-on, production-level experience specifically with Kotlin Multiplatform (KMP/KMM).
- Deep Kotlin Expertise: Mastery of the Kotlin language, including Coroutines, Flow, and Kotlin’s advanced functional programming concepts.
- Native Platform Knowledge: Strong understanding of the Android and iOS eco-systems. You must know how Kotlin code translates to iOS (Objective-C/Swift interoperability) and understand memory management models (e.g., ARC vs. Garbage Collection).
- Architectural Patterns: Proven experience implementing robust presentation and architectural patterns (Clean Architecture, MVVM, MVI) in a shared codebase context.
- Database & Networking: Experience with KMP-compatible libraries such as Ktor (networking) and SQLDelight or Room (local persistence)
- Problem Solving: Excellent debugging skills and the ability to troubleshoot complex issues that span across shared and native layers.

Job responsibilities
- Design and evolve robust software architectures for the transition to KMP
- Lead the analysis of customer requirements, translating them into technical specifications and actionable development plans.
- Drive the design, development, and implementation of new features and services within the automotive software ecosystem.
- Own the analysis, diagnosis, and resolution of highly complex technical challenges within the automotive software system.
- Oversee and guide the implementation of developed software concepts, ensuring adherence to architectural standards and best practices.
- Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration, issue resolution, and alignment on project goals.
- Provide significant technical input and participate in strategic decisions alongside project management, influencing the technical roadmap.
- Mentor junior and mid-level engineers, fostering their technical growth and ensuring high-quality code delivery.
- Establish and enforce coding standards, conduct thorough code reviews, and ensure the maintainability and scalability of the codebase.
- Identify and implement performance optimizations and efficiency improvements across the software components.
- Create and maintain comprehensive technical documentation for architectural designs, system functionalities, and development processes.
