Mariia Lavrentieva

Mariia Lavrentieva is the Associate Vice President of Learning & Development for the Americas region at GlobalLogic, the software engineering and digital product arm of Hitachi. Based in Santa Clara, California, she operates within the Talent Acquisition organization, where she leads the strategy and execution of capability development across North and Latin America. Her focus is on aligning learning with business priorities, enabling workforce transformation, and embedding scalable, outcome-driven learning solutions that directly impact delivery excellence and growth.

Her career has been defined by continuous evolution across geographies and functions - from a trusted Talent Acquisition leader in Ukraine to a regional leader driving Learning and Mobility across the Americas. This cross-functional journey gives her a unique perspective on how talent, skills, and business performance intersect, allowing her to design learning strategies that are both practical and deeply connected to real business needs.

Mariia has been instrumental in advancing GlobalLogic’s AI and engineering capability agenda, leading large-scale initiatives focused on technical upskilling, leadership development, and internal mobility. She has designed and delivered enterprise programs that support thousands of engineers and leaders, ensuring learning is embedded into key business moments such as onboarding, project delivery, and client engagement. Her work consistently emphasizes measurable outcomes - reducing time to productivity, improving internal fulfillment, and strengthening organizational capability at scale.

Mariia holds a Master’s degree in Economics and Cybernetics from the National Aviation University of Ukraine, equipping her with a strong foundation in data-driven decision-making and systems thinking.

Based in California, she embraces an active lifestyle and draws inspiration from the energy of the region. An avid snowboarder and runner, she enjoys the unique balance California offers - starting the day on the slopes and ending it by the ocean.
