Marius Vânca

Marius Vânca is a seasoned technology executive with a strong blend of engineering expertise, academic depth, and proven leadership. He currently serves as Vice President and Head of GlobalLogic Romania, where he oversees large-scale software delivery operations and drives strategic client outcomes.

Marius joined GlobalLogic through the acquisition of Fortech, where he spent nearly two decades helping build and grow the company from its inception in 2003. As one of Fortech’s founding team members, he played a key role in transforming the company into one of Eastern Europe’s leading software services providers.

During his tenure at Fortech, Marius served as Vice President of Software Engineering, leading its largest delivery business unit, and later as President of Fortech Software Services. In these roles, he led multiple large, cross-functional software engineering teams, delivering high-quality, scalable solutions for enterprise clients across the automotive, financial, and healthcare sectors. Beyond engineering leadership, he was actively involved in business development and strategic account management, with a focus on clients in the United States and Western Europe. His ability to bridge deep technical insight with strong client engagement has been instrumental in fostering long-term, value-driven partnerships.

Marius holds a bachelor’s degree in Computer Science from Babeș‑Bolyai University (2001) and a Ph.D. in Virtual Manufacturing from the Technical University of Cluj‑Napoca (2012).
