GlobalLogic is excited to share that its internal wellbeing program, Moving Challenge, earned Gold recognition in the Active Living category of the Romanian Community Index 2025.
Community Index is a national ranking of CSR projects in Romania, based on a comprehensive analysis that includes a set of 43 indicators aligned with the most important international standards in community investment. It highlights best practices and strategic projects that focus on aspects such as stakeholder engagement and the measurement of medium and long-term impact. The analysis behind the Community Index 2025 distinctions is based on a database of over 1,200 projects and programs carried out between June 2024 and August 2025.
“Moving Challenge has a solid track record of community support and professional recognition, having earned a European award for its approach to employee wellbeing. The Gold distinction confirms the program’s maturity and its ability to combine health, physical activity, engagement, and social responsibility into an efficient and impactful model.” – The Community Index Team.
“We are extremely proud to close the calendar year with another remarkable recognition for our beloved program. What makes this especially meaningful is that Moving Challenge continues to be a people-powered initiative that scales naturally across geographies. In 2025, colleagues from 8 countries (Ukraine, Poland, Romania, Slovakia, Croatia, Germany, Sweden, UK&I), came together around a simple idea: move more, move together, move for good. Beyond the numbers, this award is a strong external confirmation of something we see internally – Moving Challenge positively influences our colleagues’ wellbeing, strengthens cross-country connections and reinforces our social mission in a very authentic way. Congratulations to everyone involved in bringing this program to life!” – Alexandra Achim, HR Head GlobalLogic Romania.

About Moving Challenge
The Moving Challenge is a 6-month internal employee wellbeing and engagement program that focuses on building healthy habits while making a positive impact on society and the planet. Participants use an internal app to track outdoor activities like walking, running, and cycling, syncing their progress with platforms such as Strava and Sports Tracker. The program converts kilometers into points using a gamified system that encourages consistent, daily activity over irregular high-performance efforts.
Originally created at Fortech (now GlobalLogic Romania) in 2018, the program was inspired by employees and has continuously evolved through their feedback. Following Fortech’s integration with GlobalLogic, the initiative expanded to eight countries in the EMEA region for its 2025 edition: Romania, Poland, Slovakia, Croatia, Sweden, Germany, Ukraine, and the UK&I.
The 2025 edition ended with 1,000+ participants who had collectively logged over 856,000 kilometers, contributing to a reduction of over 174 tonnes of CO2 emissions by encouraging alternative transportation.
The program was recognized with an European Bronze Award for Best Employee Wellbeing Initiative at the 2025 Employer Brand Management Awards Gala in London and Silver and Bronze awards at Romanian Sustainability & CSR Awards in 2025 and 2024.
