“Hi, my name is Patryk, and I solve problems.” It is a simple introduction, but it perfectly encapsulates my mindset. My engineering journey began the year the first Avengers movie hit cinemas. For me, the spark wasn’t just watching action on a screen; it was creating it. After burning through dozens of circuits in college and building an electric car with my teammates, we found ourselves racing at the famous Silverstone circuit. We won, and in that moment of triumph, I decided that an automotive career was the only path forward. I describe myself as “forever curious,” I love working with amazing people, creating things, exploring, making mistakes, fixing them, and learning as I go. That’s my thing.

Professional Impact & The GlobalLogic Journey

My story at GlobalLogic began with a humble setup: three friends, a rented room, a fishing stool in Gliwice, Poland, and a mission to use the word “AUTOSAR” as many times as possible. Our goal was to bring focus to embedded automotive development, and I am very proud to say that we succeeded.

Today, as a Senior Consultant in Engineering, my role is essentially “the guy who likes solving hard issues with simple solutions.” I connect people, I talk, I draw colorful diagrams, and I write some code from time to time as well. Whether it involves software  safety, security, AUTOSAR, AI, cars, or even power plants, I focus on automation, quality, and good architecture. Most of my days are spent putting out fires for our clients.

My tech stack is fluid, defined solely by what the problem requires. The technological world nowadays moves ridiculously fast, which is amazing. I love  believing that the more tools and technologies we have, we are not just on a higher level of engineering, we are tuning a race car while driving it at full speed. I always try to make complicated things go away and replace them with something simple, while keeping the business happy.

Navigating this complexity is impossible alone. In the world of AI and its mind-blowing complexity, everlasting cooperation with trusted companions is the only path we should follow. I don’t just collaborate with my team; I trust them with my very being.

Achievements & Learnings 

I have to mention earning my PhD in software development while working in the industry. It was excruciatingly hard, but totally worth it, and I am very proud of that.

When I look back at defining moments, I think of high-stakes situations where problem-solving was critical. I remember the first time I caused a halt of an automotive assembly line. I had to report every 30 minutes on the progress of getting it back up and running. Another highlight was winning a project together with my team that resulted in a product now driving around in “almost all models” of a major premium car manufacturer.  Who would’ve imagined that I will be such a big impact maker for global brands around the world.

Professional wins are just part of the equation; continuous learning is the engine. How do I stay current? First, I make mistakes, it is the only tool evolution has used to bring us where we are now. With 15 years of experience, the mistakes are smaller, but the learning never stops. Second, I simply take on as much as I can. I always tell my manager “I will help,” which boils down to having 15 initiatives, RFQs, puzzles, and academies running at once. I have to do them because I promised, so I do whatever it takes, and I learn in the process.

GlobalLogic has given me the unique opportunity to turn my curiosity into tangible results, from restarting assembly lines to powering the vehicles of the future. It’s about the work, the impact, and the sheer joy of fixing what others think is broken.
