Description

An AWS-based internal data mesh platform with approximately 100 data products providing complete vehicle history and analytics. The platform handles several hundred TiB of data, supports over 1500 global users, and enables efficient evaluation of vehicle events to help improve quality processes and customer experience.

Requirements

Take end-to-end ownership of the provisioning and deployment architecture for workspaces, APIs, identities, and compliance workflows across a big data platform. Ensure secure, scalable, and automated infrastructure aligned with German OEM standards.

6+ years in cloud architecture with strong experience in AWS environments
Strong skills in Infrastructure as Code (CloudFormation, CDK, Terraform) and CI/CD pipelines
Familiarity with API gateways, provisioning systems, and enterprise access governance in AWS
Able to lead architectural governance, compliance, and lifecycle management of complex cloud environments
Experience in multi-team platform enablement and infrastructure reuse

Job responsibilities

Lead architecture and deployment of the data mesh platform, based on AWS Glue Pipelines, data provision and BI platform.
Design and implement secure connectivity and infrastructure for S3 (AWS Simple Storage Service) and other non-S3 storage modules, ensuring proper policy enforcement.
Establish baseline and tailored build guidelines for workspace environments using Infrastructure as Code tools like AWS CloudFormation, CDK (Python), and/or Terraform.
Secure and govern APIs through API Gateway, including certificate management, routing, and load balancing.
Collaborate on DevOps pipelines, driving fully automated CI/CD flows and infrastructure changes using AWS CodePipeline, CodeBuild, and GitHub Actions.
Govern access via IAM Roles, Service Principals (IAM Users/Service Accounts), and secret rotation via AWS Secrets Manager and AWS Systems Manager Parameter Store.
Define the Service Principal Concept, ensuring clear roles, responsibilities, and permission boundaries in AWS IAM.
Manage third-party tool integration pipelines such as Coverity and BlackDuck for vulnerability scanning.
Drive compliance, observability, and lifecycle automation across internal APIs, tools, and infrastructure components.
Whitelisting & Role Assignment: API-level design and deployment for access management services leveraging AWS IAM policies and Resource Access Manager.
Collaborate with other agile product teams in SAFe (Scaled Agile Framework) and actively contribute to workshops, communities of practice, and other sessions as a representative of the team.
