Requirements

“Cognos Analytics Expertise: Expert-level proficiency in the full suite of IBM Cognos tools, including Report Studio/Authoring, Framework Manager (Data Modeling), and Transformer (Cube Development), to design and deploy complex business reports and interactive dashboards.
Advanced SQL & Data Querying: Highly skilled in writing, optimizing, and executing complex SQL queries to extract, manipulate, and validate data from various relational databases (e.g., SQL Server, Oracle, PostgreSQL).
Data Warehousing Concepts: Strong technical understanding of data warehousing (DW) principles, including dimensional modeling (Star/Snowflake schemas), ETL processes, and metadata management, as they relate to building efficient Cognos models.
Data Visualization & Presentation: Proven ability to select appropriate visualizations and organize report layouts to effectively communicate complex analytical findings to both technical and non-technical audiences.
Report Performance Tuning: Technical experience in diagnosing and resolving Cognos report performance issues, including optimizing data models, report queries, and cube designs for faster load times and scalability.”

Job responsibilities

Sharp and experienced Business Intelligence (BI) Analyst with deep technical expertise in Cognos reporting and analytics. This role is central to transforming raw data into actionable business insights that drive strategic decision-making across the organization. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining complex reports and dashboards, performing in-depth data modeling, and ensuring data quality. This position requires a strong blend of analytical skills, data warehousing knowledge, and a focus on delivering high-quality, reliable reporting solutions to internal stakeholders.
