Description

Our client is a global leader in eye care, specializing in the development, manufacturing, and marketing of innovative products for vision correction and surgical treatments. Their portfolio includes a wide range of contact lenses, eye care solutions, and surgical instruments for cataract and retina procedures. Committed to improving lives by enhancing sight, our client serves customers in over 140 countries, focusing on advancing technologies and solutions for eye health.

Our client is continuously advancing their medical devices by enhancing them with connectivity features and cloud-based services. However, adoption of next-generation solutions in the field is gradual, often resulting in a mix of legacy and modern systems within the same environment.

The goal of the project is to develop a comprehensive set of tools, services, and libraries that enable seamless integration of existing devices into a modern cloud and on-premises infrastructure. This will ensure data interoperability, integrity, and security across all systems.

The project is already underway, having recently completed high-level requirements definition and initial technical planning. There is now a growing need to scale up a software engineering team to begin detailed design, implementation, and verification & validation activities. Our client is evaluating potential partners to support this effort and deliver the remaining scope of work effectively.

Requirements

We are looking for strong technical leader with partial managerial responsibilities to work at client premises in Erlangen / Germany. Daily office presence is mandatory.

* positive track record of managing several distributed teams across geos and vendors.

* experience in leading healhtcare projects and driving the product through certification like FDA, MDD

* deep knowledge in different agile methodologies, compatible with medical regulations. Able to understand the medical QMS and ability to ensure compliance of the product with the QMS. 

* communicative, client oriented, able to regularly present the project status in front of senior company leaders

* experience in the SW development, able to read code and architecture. 

* previous experience leading several teams as an architect, able to 

* able to create the roadmap and establish recovery plans to adhere to project milestones

* German and English language proficiency

Job responsibilities

* make sure all important stakeholders are aligned: like development teams, requirement engineers, regulatory department, V&V teams, upper management

* analyze current workflow, issues, and organization landscape

* establish efficient working model and make sure all stakeholder adhere to it

* establish efficient reporting and feedback mechanism across all stakeholders

* lead 6 development teams, from technical perspective, motivate for continues improvement

* maintain dependencies and transparently visualize blockers

* visualize progress on the project and regular update of the roadmap
