Description

You will be part of a team responsible for building and operating a scalable private cloud platform based on OpenStack.
While infrastructure engineers focus on the underlying cloud and hardware, the DevOps team enables automation, CI/CD, and service orchestration for workloads running on top of that infrastructure.
This is a key leadership role driving automation, reliability, and developer enablement within a hybrid on-premise and private cloud environment.

Requirements

We are looking for a highly skilled and hands-on Lead DevOps Engineer to design, implement, and manage CI/CD pipelines, container orchestration platforms, and automation frameworks on top of our OpenStack-based private cloud and on-premise infrastructure, including cloud.
The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in Kubernetes, CI/CD systems, and infrastructure automation, and will drive best practices in deployment, monitoring, and scalability across environments.

You will collaborate closely with infrastructure, development, and operations teams to ensure efficient delivery pipelines, high system availability, and consistent environments from development to production.

  • Strong hands-on experience with Kubernetes administration and custom resource definitions (CRDs).
  • Solid experience with Jenkins (pipeline-as-code, Groovy scripting).
  • Proficiency with Helm charts and Rancher for Kubernetes workload management.
  • Deep understanding of CI/CD processes and tools such as Artifactory, BitBucket, and HashiCorp Vault.
  • Experience integrating infrastructure automation tools (Ansible, Terraform) with CI/CD pipelines.
  • Proficiency in scripting languages (Bash, Python, or Groovy).
  • Familiarity with containerization technologies (Docker) and image lifecycle management.
  • Understanding of networking concepts (DNS, load balancing, routing) and IT security practices (IAM, TLS, secrets management).
  • Experience with monitoring and logging stacks (Prometheus, Grafana, ELK).
  • Strong Linux systems administration skills (Ubuntu, CentOS).
  • Excellent problem-solving, communication, and cross-functional collaboration skills.

Job responsibilities

  • Design, build, and maintain CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins (Groovy scripting) for automated build, test, and deployment processes.
  • Deploy, configure, and manage Kubernetes clusters (including CRDs, Helm charts, and Rancher).
  • Manage and optimize container registries, artifact repositories, and configuration management tools (e.g., Artifactory, Vault).
  • Automate provisioning, configuration, and deployments across private cloud (OpenStack) and on-premise environments.
  • Implement infrastructure-as-code practices and integrate them with existing automation (e.g., Ansible, Terraform).
  • Establish monitoring, alerting, and logging pipelines using Prometheus, Grafana, and ELK.
  • Collaborate with developers and infrastructure engineers to define deployment standards, scalability strategies, and security baselines.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve CI/CD and deployment issues across multiple environments.
  • Lead initiatives to improve developer productivity, release reliability, and operational visibility.
  • Mentor junior engineers and contribute to DevOps process and tooling improvements.
