Description

The project focuses on evolving a previously successful private beta service into a robust, scalable, and production-ready solution. It utilizes advanced AI and large language models (LLMs) to extract meaningful, contextual information from complex technical documents, such as equipment specification sheets. After a period of limited maintenance, the project is now entering a phase of active development, driven by a strong demand for new features. Key goals include enhancing core capabilities, improving performance through efforts like load testing, and ensuring the solution can operate effectively at an enterprise scale. This initiative plays an important role in supporting the broader vision of delivering a comprehensive data and AI platform for industrial applications.

Requirements

Must-have Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, or a related field.
• Fluent English.
• Strong programming skills in Python.
• Experience with machine learning frameworks (e.g., TensorFlow, PyTorch, scikit-learn).
• Experience with LLMs and integrating them into applications.
• Solid understanding of machine learning principles, algorithms, and techniques.
• Experience with data processing and data manipulation.
• Familiarity with cloud computing platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP).
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Strong communication and collaboration abilities.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with industrial data and applications.
• Knowledge of database systems and data warehousing.
• Experience with distributed computing frameworks (e.g., Spark, Hadoop).
• Familiarity with DevOps practices and CI/CD pipelines.
• Experience with Kotlin.
• Experience with computer vision.

Job responsibilities

• Develop and implement machine learning models and algorithms for various industrial applications.
• Work on LLM integrations such as the OpenAI API.
• Support configuration of LLM’s system prompt to include custom instructions.
• Enable LLMs to identify the most appropriate pages for data extraction from multi-page documents.
• Support extraction of multiple schemas from a document.
• Develop solutions for parsing check marks and radio buttons, using multi-modal LLM capabilities in addition to OCR.
• Enhance functionality to extract data points from performance curves.
• Develop and maintain data pipelines for ingesting, processing, and transforming large volumes of industrial data.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including product managers, data engineers, and domain experts, to define project requirements and deliver high-quality solutions.
• Design, develop, and test software solutions, adhering to technology stack and best practices (Python, Kotlin, etc.).
• Ensure code is highly maintainable, well-documented, and follows internal guidelines and expectations.
• Participate in code reviews and contribute to improving our development processes.
• Stay up-to-date with the latest advancements in AI/ML and related technologies.
• Perform load testing.
• Increase unit test coverage.
