We are looking for a highly organized and detail-oriented Product Owner to join our development team. In this role, you will serve as the critical bridge between Engineering and the business—owning the product backlog, translating technical initiatives into clear user stories, and ensuring smooth and predictable delivery of product enhancements. Your work will directly impact product success and customer satisfaction as you drive execution, support Agile ceremonies, and keep stakeholders informed on release progress.
Qualifications
Required
• 3+ years of experience as a Product Owner or similar role in a software development environment
• Hands-on, day-to-day experience using Jira to manage product backlogs and sprints for an engineering team
• Deep understanding of Agile methodologies, particularly Scrum
• Proven ability to break down initiatives into well-structured epics and user stories
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to translate complex technical concepts into actionable requirements
• Excellent problem-solving skills and analytical thinking
• Comfortable working closely with technical teams and understanding engineering constraints
Preferred
• Certified Scrum Product Owner (CSPO) or equivalent Agile certification
• Experience in SaaS software development
• Familiarity with technical architecture, APIs, or platform-level product components
• Experience working with globally distributed development teams

Key Responsibilities
Requirements Management
• Break down product initiatives and technical requirements into epics and user stories
• Define clear and testable acceptance criteria for all user stories
• Prioritize requirements based on business value, customer impact, and technical feasibility
• Collaborate closely with Engineering to align on implementation details and sequencing
• Document business rules, edge cases, and technical dependencies as needed
• Manage requirements traceability and change processes
• Ensure delivered functionality meets documented requirements and stakeholder expectations
Agile Process & Execution
• Collaborate with the Engineering Manager in sprint planning, backlog grooming, sprint reviews, and retrospectives
• Maintain and prioritize a clear, well-organized product backlog using Jira
• Manage the sprint backlog and ensure the team has a steady flow of actionable work
• Monitor sprint velocity and adjust scope to support consistent delivery
• Facilitate daily stand-ups and help remove blockers
• Facilitate decision-making when implementation approaches conflict
• Participate in bug triage sessions and prioritize defects based on customer impact, severity, and business risk
• Work closely with program management to track and communicate development progress and upcoming release plans
• Review test cases to confirm alignment with acceptance criteria
Cross-Functional Collaboration
• Work closely with the Product Manager to ensure sprint-level priorities align with the broader product roadmap
• Coordinate with customer-facing teams to gather and incorporate feedback when needed
• Collaborate with Technical Writers to support the creation of documentation
• Manage stakeholder expectations and communication regarding releases
• Support release readiness and coordination with cross-functional teams
Delivery Impact & Metrics
• Track success metrics for delivered features, in partnership with Product Management
• Use data and feedback to inform iteration and identify opportunities for continuous improvement
