Description

We are seeking a skilled Python Data Engineer to join our release management team. In this role, you’ll be responsible for enhancing and maintaining data processing pipelines, automation scripts, and visualization tools that support our automotive software release processes. You’ll work with diverse data sources and collaborate with both technical and non-technical stakeholders to ensure reliable, traceable, and high-quality software releases.

Our client is a leading software development company in the automotive sector, with deep expertise in Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS) and autonomous vehicle technologies. The organization focuses on creating robust software solutions that power next-generation automotive systems and drive innovation in the mobility industry.

Requirements

• Strong Python programming skills: Ability to collect, process, and aggregate data from diverse sources, including databases, web services, REST APIs, and files.
• Experience with data visualization: Capable of generating charts, dashboards, Excel/Google Sheets reports, and datasets for both technical and non-technical audiences.
• Familiarity with CI/CD toolchains (Jenkins, GoCD): Able to automate and integrate release tasks into continuous integration flows.

Bonus Skills:

• SQL and relational database querying.
• Experience with Elasticsearch and related search/data aggregation.
• Familiarity with SystemWeaver for requirements and traceability management.
• Experience with Grafana/Kibana for dashboarding and monitoring.
• Ability to design and maintain Python libraries and reusable modules.
• Front-end development experience (e.g., web dashboards, interactive reports).

Job responsibilities

• Extend and refactor existing Python scripts to support new data sources, reporting requirements, and automation needs.
• Ensure traceability, reliability, and quality of release data.
• Propose and implement improvements for data flow, automation, and visualization.
• Help maintain a robust, automated release process for the client’s automotive software.
