Description

Our client is focused on improving the integrity of gas pipeline systems through the application of advanced risk modeling technologies. Our models and software are defensible and highly predictive, allowing gas pipeline operators to take actions to reduce risk in their systems. And our Integrity Data suite enables pipeline operators to finally capture their pipeline asset data and unlock the value associated with this data.

Requirements

We are looking for a skilled Software Developer with strong proficiency in Python and hands-on experience building complex calculation engines and risk modeling logic. The ideal candidate has practical experience with Azure cloud services, particularly Azure Functions, Service Bus, and relational databases. Familiarity with mathematical and statistical libraries is essential.

 

• Proficient in Python, especially in logic-heavy, computation-intensive systems.
• Experience with Azure Functions and Service Bus.
• Strong understanding of relational and non-relational databases.
• Familiarity with GitHub workflows and Agile development practices.
• Experience using libraries such as pandas, SciPy, and statsmodels.
• Comfortable working in Jupyter Notebooks for development and analysis.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.

Job responsibilities

• Design and implement Python-based solutions for risk calculations and business
  logic.
• Develop and maintain cloud-native components using Azure Functions and
  Service Bus (event-driven architecture).
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams in an Agile development environment.
• Utilize GitHub for source control, code reviews, and CI/CD processes.
• Optimize data handling, processing, and storage in SQL and NoSQL databases.
• Leverage tools like Jupyter Notebooks and statistical libraries to analyze and validate models.
