Description

We are looking for a skilled and passionate Developer in Test to join our engineering team. This role is ideal for someone who thrives at the intersection of software engineering, test automation, and data quality. You will be responsible for designing and building robust test frameworks and tooling to ensure the quality, reliability, and scalability of headless and backend services, with a strong focus on data-driven platforms and products.

Requirements

• Proven experience as a Developer in Test, SDET, or similar role.
• Strong experience building and using test frameworks and automation tooling for backend and headless services.
• Significant experience working with data engineering and data science teams.
• Excellent Python programming skills with production product development experience.
• Strong SQL development skills for data validation and analysis.
• Experience working with large data volumes or complex data pipelines.
• Comfort with basic statistics concepts.
• Exposure to Clojure and functional programming principles (production experience not mandatory).
• Strong English communication skills, including excellent documentation capabilities.

 

Job responsibilities

Test Automation & Tooling
• Design, develop, and maintain test tooling, frameworks, and platforms to automate test strategies for headless and backend services.
• Implement scalable and maintainable automated testing solutions integrated into CI/CD pipelines.
• Drive test automation best practices across services, APIs, and data platforms.

Data & Platform Quality
• Work closely with data engineering and data science teams to ensure quality across data pipelines, models, platforms, and data products.
• Develop automated tests for data transformations, models, and large-scale data pipelines.
• Validate data integrity, accuracy, completeness, and consistency across complex systems and large data volumes.

Software Development & Programming
• Apply strong Python development skills to build production-grade test frameworks and tooling.
• Contribute to production-quality code with a focus on testability and maintainability.
• Leverage experience in functional programming, including exposure to Clojure, to design clean, composable test solutions.

Data Validation & Analysis
• Write and optimize complex SQL queries to validate data sets and verify business logic.
• Apply basic statistical concepts to support data quality checks, anomaly detection, and test assertions.• Act as a quality advocate within cross-functional teams, partnering with developers, testers, and product managers to define effective test strategies.

• Coach and mentor team members on modern testing practices, including building testable architectures and testable code.
• Promote and apply modern software development practices, including TDD, BDD, and ATDD, where appropriate.
