Description

We are seeking an experienced Scrum Master who is passionate about servant leadership and guiding teams toward continuous improvement. You will partner closely with product managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to help our agile teams mature, embrace the Scrum framework, and deliver customer value at the highest level.

This role requires a leader who thrives on coaching, mentoring, influencing, and negotiating across multiple stakeholders in environments where agile practices are still evolving. If you enjoy helping teams unlock their potential and fostering a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous learning, this is the opportunity for you.

We are a supportive, inclusive group that values collaboration and fosters a strong sense of belonging. Our team operates with transparency and alignment, driven by scaled agile practices, working closely with the product and design teams to shape and refine requirements, while fostering a culture of continuous improvement. This includes leveraging agile methodologies to ensure iterative delivery, cross-functional collaboration, and consistent alignment with business goals.

We’re driven by values that shape how we work together every day:
Teamwork, ownership, accountability, proactivity, transparency, empathy, inclusivity, and a commitment to continuous learning and growth.

Requirements

  • 4-6+ years of proven experience as a Scrum Master or Agile Coach working with multiple agile teams
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of industry related professional experience and education
  • Superior skills in facilitation, coaching, and conflict resolution
  • Solid understanding of multiple agile frameworks (i.e. Scrum, Kanban) and understanding of software development life cycle models
  • Adept at facilitating backlog refinement, story splitting, estimation, retrospection, and other Scrum techniques
  • Demonstrated ability to influence and negotiate with diverse stakeholders across engineering, product, and leadership.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills to effectively lead planning and problem solving with product owners and delivery teams
  • Collaborative, communicative approach to resolving blockers and tackling dependencies
  • Previous experience managing business critical projects is desirable
  • A detail oriented and data driven approach to reporting the Agile Teams successes and blockers as the team progresses through a project.
  • Experience supporting teams that are new to agile, with a passion for teaching and enabling growth.
  • Exemplifies and promotes Agile values and principles
  • Scrum Master certification (CSM, PSM) strongly preferred.
  • Familiarity with agile tooling (e.g., Jira, Rally, Confluence, etc.)

Job responsibilities

  •  Act as a servant leader, guiding teams to apply Scrum and agile practices effectively.
  • Coach and mentor team members, leaders, and stakeholders on the principles of agility and the Scrum framework.
  • Facilitate Scrum ceremonies (sprint planning, daily standups, sprint reviews, retrospectives) for one or more agile development teams to ensure productive, focused outcomes.
  • Work to empower the Scrum Team to influence, drive decision making, and support organisational delivery of the Product Backlog.
  • Serve as the “Voice of the Team”. Influence and negotiate with cross-functional stakeholders to create alignment and shared accountability.
  • Partner with Product Owners, Engineering Leads, and the Agile team to refine and manage backlogs, ensuring clarity and prioritization of work.
  • Identify and resolve impediments that impact team delivery, escalating where necessary.
  • Foster a culture of continuous improvement by helping the team develop, capture, and analyze performance metrics to drive team improvements, and ensure success of projects the team commits to delivering.
  • Advocate for agile values and principles across the organization, tailoring practices to fit team maturity levels.
