Description

GlobalLogic is inviting an experienced Senior Data Platform Engineer to join our team and work on a strategic engagement with Cloudera, a global leader in enterprise data management and analytics.
You will be part of a highly skilled international team responsible for building and optimizing large-scale data platforms that power mission-critical business solutions, with a focus on advanced storage, streaming, and governance. This role offers an opportunity to work with cutting-edge big data technologies and influence how enterprises process, store, and govern their data at scale.

Requirements

6+ years of experience as an AI/ML Engineer or similar role in data-intensive environments.
Strong hands-on expertise with:

• Machine learning frameworks (e.g., TensorFlow, PyTorch, Scikit-learn)
• Model deployment and MLOps pipelines
• Integration with big data tools (Spark MLlib, Hive for feature stores)

Solid understanding of distributed systems, data pipelines for ML, and model optimization.
Experience with big data ecosystem (HDFS, YARN, Kafka for real-time features).
Proficiency in Python; familiarity with Scala or Java is a plus.
Good knowledge of data modeling, ETL for ML datasets, and experiment tracking (e.g., MLflow).
Experience with cloud platforms (AWS SageMaker, Azure ML, or GCP AI) is a plus.
Strong problem-solving skills, ability to work in an agile, globally distributed team.
Good spoken and written English (B2+).

Job responsibilities

Design, develop, and deploy ML models integrated with scalable data pipelines using Spark and Hive.
Build and optimize MLOps workflows for model training, evaluation, and serving in distributed environments.
Collaborate with data and product teams to create AI-driven solutions for business analytics.
Ensure data quality and feature consistency for ML workloads across environments.
Perform root cause analysis on model performance issues and provide iterative improvements.
Participate in architecture discussions and contribute to the continuous improvement of AI/ML engineering standards and processes.
