Description

We are looking for an experienced AWS DevOps Engineer with Elastic Kubernetes Service expertise for the client of our Insurance portfolio. In this position, you will become a part of our DevOps Team. The Scope of work is to build CI/CD pipelines to support integration enablement, in addition to infrastructure to host a COTS product utilising EKS.

Requirements

• 3+ years of experience working in DevOps role
• Solid expertise in AWS based DevOps, preferably with the following certification “AWS Certified SysOp Administrator – Associate” and/or “AWS Certified DevOps Engineer – Professional”
• Strong experience with AWSCodeBuild, AWSCodePipeline, Bitbucket, CloudFormation, Terraform, Cloudwatch
• Strong Knowledge of Python (specifically with Boto3)
• Experience working with microservices based on Lambda (Python) , ECS, DynamoDB and S3
• Ability to work diligently and independently on tasks
• Good level of English

Job responsibilities

• Responsible for the build, configuration and smooth operation of environments and their associated AWS services, including CI/CD
• Ensuring the consistency of builds, for both environments and application code deployments, using Infrastructure-as-code (IaC)
• Actively seeking out and resolving issues in the pipelines, and providing support and guidance to functional teams
• Maintaining operational runbooks, streamlining procedures, and automating routine tasks
• Building, and running monitoring and alerting solutions using tools such as OpsGenie and AWS CloudWatch, ensuring a proactive approach to managing issues
• Working closely withsubject matter areas including, functional and non-functional testing, security, and operations, to design, build and operate highly resilient and secure solutions
• Ensuring all builds align with DLG standards and AWS best practices
• Contributing to the outcome of the AWS Well Architected Review and helping to ensure all findings are remediated
