Description

An AWS-based internal data mesh platform with approximately 100 data products providing complete vehicle history and analytics. The platform handles several hundred TiB of data, supports over 1500 global users, and enables efficient evaluation of vehicle events to help improve quality processes and customer experience.

Requirements

We are looking for a Senior Qlik Developer to lead the design, development, and optimization of advanced BI Dashboards and data visualizations within the data mesh platform. You will work with domain teams to translate business needs (e.g. warranty, service contracts, vehicle diagnosis) into scalable, high-performing BI applications using Qlik Sense, Vizlib, and custom extensions. You will also support advanced features like write-back, data sharing via DDX, and integration with AWS backend pipelines.

 

5+ years of experience with Qlik Sense (dashboarding, scripting, data modeling)
Experience with Vizlib extensions (write-back, buttons, KPI designer, etc.)
Solid understanding of data modeling and transformations (Qlik load scripts, QVD optimization)
Familiarity with AWS Athena, S3, Glue, Lambda, and Databricks is a strong plus
Hands-on experience with data mesh / domain-oriented data architectures
Basic understanding of GDPR and its implications in data presentation
Experience with Qlik mashups and embedding Qlik in web frontends is a bonus
Comfortable working in agile (SAFe) environments and Jira-based workflows

Soft Skills
Strong collaboration and communication with cross-functional teams
Business fluent in English (German is a plus)
Ownership mindset and attention to detail
Ability to support user acceptance testing and collect feedback

Nice to Have
Experience with PowerBI (for cross-platform collaboration)
Background in vehicle/automotive data (warranty, service contracts, diagnostics)
Exposure to data product delivery in regulated environments

Job responsibilities

Lead the design and development of Qlik Sense dashboards for various data domains (Warranty, Service Contracts, Diagnosis, etc.)
Architect and Integrate dashboards with AWS Athena, Glue, Lake Formation, and Databricks Unity Catalog
Develop interactive visualizations using Vizlib extensions and custom mashups
Implement write-back functionality (via Vizlib Writeback or custom APIs)
Optimize frontends for performance and user experience
Enable secure access controls via ALICE, MFA, and Lake Formation roles
Collaborate with backend engineers, requirement engineers, and product owners to define data consumption needs
Ensure GDPR-compliant presentation and redaction of sensitive fields
Contribute to data quality validation and visual alerts inside dashboards
Document dashboards, data sources, KPIs, filters, and security roles
