Job Description:
Required Skills and Experience:

• 7+ years of hands-on experience in software development with a strong focus on Java and Spring Boot.
• Proven experience designing and deploying microservices architectures in production environments.
• Strong expertise in API development (REST/JSON) and integrating services across systems.
• Deep knowledge of databases and distributed persistence technologies, with practical experience in SQL (Oracle, Microsoft SQL Server, PostgreSQL).
• Build and maintain distributed systems and cloud-based services using AWS (2-4 years of experience is required).
• Work with relational databases (Oracle, Microsoft SQL Server, PostgreSQL) and NoSQL databases (MongoDB) for scalable persistence.
• Work extensively with containerization (minimum 2-4 years of experience with Docker) and orchestration platforms (minimum 2-4 years of experience with Kubernetes) for scalable deployments.
• Operational experience in monitoring, troubleshooting, and maintaining large-scale distributed systems.
• Experience in scripting languages such as Python, Shell, or Groovy for automation and DevOps tasks.
• Strong experience with CI/CD pipelines, Git-based version control (GitLab/GitHub), and DevOps tools.
• Familiarity with Agile methodologies (SCRUM, Kanban) and demonstrated ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams.
• Experience using system monitoring tools (e.g., Splunk, Prometheus, ELK stack, CloudWatch).
• Experience with automated testing frameworks (JUnit, Mockito, Selenium, or similar).
• Excellent problem-solving skills, with a focus on performance tuning and optimization.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to create well-structured technical documentation.
• Demonstrated ability to mentor and coach junior developers, perform peer reviews, and improve team delivery standards.

Preferred Skills (Nice to Have):

• Familiarity with messaging and streaming technologies (Kafka, RabbitMQ).
• Experience with other NoSQL databases (CouchBase, DynamoDB, Redis).
• Exposure to security best practices, encryption, and compliance in distributed systems.

Requirements

• Conduct peer code reviews, provide constructive feedback, and mentor junior engineers to raise overall team capability.
• Collaborate with Product Owners, Scrum Masters, and business stakeholders to refine requirements, estimate stories, and deliver high-value features.
• Create technical documentation, including design documents, API specifications, and operational runbooks.
• Participate in Agile ceremonies (daily stand-ups, sprint planning, retrospectives) and contribute to continuous improvement of team practices.
• Lead initiatives for performance tuning, scalability improvements, and fault-tolerant system design.

Education:
• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, or a closely related field is required.
• A Master’s degree in a relevant discipline is preferred but not mandatory.

• Work with relational databases (Oracle, Microsoft SQL Server, PostgreSQL) and ensure data modeling, query optimization, and distributed persistence are applied effectively.
• Develop automation scripts and use scripting languages (Python, Shell, etc.) to streamline operational tasks and improve efficiency.
• Implement and manage CI/CD pipelines using GitLab/GitHub and other DevOps toolchains.
• Use system monitoring, logging, and automated testing frameworks to ensure reliability, observability, and quality of production services.
