We are looking for a Solution Architect to play a pivotal role in designing and implementing cutting-edge solutions that leverage our leading data platform. As a technical subject matter expert, you will work closely with clients, sales teams, and delivery teams to understand complex business challenges and architect robust, scalable solutions.
The role is instrumental in merging our flagship products with the customer’s existing portfolio, ensuring successful deployments and driving digital transformation for our clients in heavy-asset industries. It requires a blend of consulting acumen, deep technical expertise, and a passion for innovation in a collaborative, cross-functional environment.

Requirements

Must-Have Skills:

Experience:

• 7+ years of experience as an application, data, solution, or enterprise architect.
• 2+ years of experience in software solutions for discrete or heavy-asset industries (e.g., downstream, petrochemicals, energy).
• Proven experience with operational data and understanding customer business drivers in heavy-asset industries.
• Consulting experience with the ability to confidently negotiate requirements with customers and colleagues.
• Experience with enterprise integration, customer relationship management, or IT integration design.
• Data and analytics project experience, with the ability to confidently lead an implementation.

Technical Expertise:

• Broad technical experience with data and analytics stacks.
• Familiarity with Business Intelligence tools (e.g., Power BI or similar) and enterprise analytics stacks.
• Proficiency in SQL and experience with big data tooling (e.g., Apache Spark ecosystem).
• Experience with at least one major public cloud platform (AWS, GCP, or Azure), including familiarity with network security concepts, identity providers, and application hosting.
• Architectural skills in data modeling and infrastructure solutions (e.g., classical data warehousing, big data architectures).
• Understanding of operations, including support, change control, and experience in architecting centralized monitoring, logging, and reporting.

Soft Skills:

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Problem-solving aptitude and a results-oriented mindset.
• Ability to work effectively in a cross-functional team environment.
• DevOps mindset and experience with Git, CI/CD, and deployment environments.

Nice-to-Have Skills:

Experience:

• Master’s degree.
• Experience with “configuration as code” paradigms and tools (e.g., Cognite Toolkit, GitOps).
• Experience with data contextualization and knowledge graphs.

Technical Expertise:

• Experience with ReactJS and TypeScript.
• Experience with Python or Java for data integration tasks.
• Familiarity with OIDC authentication.
• Experience with containerization technologies (e.g., Kubernetes, Docker).
• Knowledge of specific data transformation tools on Azure, GCP, or AWS.
• Familiarity with LLMs and their application in configuration generation (e.g., through MCP – Model Context Protocol).

Other:

• Experience contributing to the development of new products or features.
• Experience working in a global SaaS company.

Job responsibilities

• Act as an industrial technology/subject matter expert on the implementation of our SaaS applications.
• Collaborate with project teams to map customer requirements to ensure quality implementations.
• Design end-to-end technical solutions, ensuring they fit within the customer’s ecosystem and target architecture.
• Architect data integration and data models using our data connectors, SQL, Python/Java, and REST APIs.
• Ensure the appropriate data visualization technology (e.g., Power BI, Grafana, Plotly Dash) is utilized effectively.
• Ensure the correct data transformation technology (e.g., Databricks, Azure, GCP, AWS) is applied appropriately.
• Oversee the efficient modeling and contextualization of data within our data fusion platform (e.g., graph and relational models).
• Design robust and well-thought-out integrations.
• Ensure important quality criteria for solutions are met, including CI/CD, logging, and security.
• Clearly define operational responsibility and support agreements for delivered solutions.
• Serve as a credible advisor to customers and partners on our data fusion platform.
• Identify opportunities for new products and features based on customer interactions and work with product managers and tech leads to continuously improve our SaaS offering.
• Be willing to dive in and contribute code for advanced topics when necessary.
