Requirements

Required:

  • • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
    • 3+ years of experience in software development.
    • 1+ years of experience with cloud-native technologies and architecture including containerized compute, storage, IAM and service integration.
    • Experienced in at least one popular LLM application framework, e.g. LangChain, Semantic Kernel and one vector database, e.g. Azure AI Search.
    • Excellent problem-solving skills and analytical thinking abilities.
    • Solid grasp of software engineering principles and best practices.
    • Ability to craft clean, maintainable, and efficient code, emphasizing scalability and reusability.
    • Effective communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work in a team environment.
    • Commitment to continuous learning and staying updated on industry trends and advancements.

Preferred:

  • advanced training in machine learning, cloud architectures, or similar fields.

Job responsibilities

The Software Engineer I (GenAI) role is a leading individual contributor within the AI/ML Engineering job family, specializing in the development of applied artificial intelligence solutions. This role entails leading technical initiatives, driving innovation, and delivering high-quality solutions in collaboration with cross-functional teams.

  •   Design, development, and implementation of applied AI solutions to address complex business challenges, servicing multiple products.
    • Architect applications and platforms that integrate with large language models (LLMs).
    • Design and development of highly available API services using either C#/.NET or Python with at least one popular backend framework, e.g. ASP.NET, Django, Flask, etc.
    • Stay updated on advancements in frameworks and AI models and identify opportunities to incorporate new tools and methodologies into projects.
    • Collaborate with data scientists, engineers, and business stakeholders to understand requirements and translate them into technical specifications.
    • Evaluate and select appropriate AI models and techniques to achieve desired outcomes, considering factors such as model performance, scalability, and interpretability.
    • Develop and maintain robust codebases, adhering to best practices for code quality, testing, and documentation.
    • Provide technical guidance, mentorship, and support to junior developers and team members, fostering a culture of learning and knowledge sharing.
    • Curate automated deployment (CI/CD) pipelines, delivering services and AI models into production environments, ensuring scalability, reliability, and security.
