Description

Our client is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented SW Tester to join testing team responsible for the certification of Apple CarPlay and Android Auto products. The role involves performing manual tests in development rigs as well as in-vehicle tests, to ensure product functionality and quality meet certification standards. 

Requirements

Requirements:

Linux Experience: Basic understanding of Linux operating systems; familiarity with basic commands and navigating the system.
Driver’s License: A valid driver’s license is required for operating test vehicles.
Testing Experience: Prior experience in manual testing, preferably in an automotive or hardware-related environment.
Attention to Detail: Strong focus on detail to ensure all aspects of the product are tested and certified accurately.
Communication Skills: Ability to clearly document testing results and communicate issues to the team.

Desirable Skills:

Experience with automotive simulation tools or test rigs is a plus.
Ability to adapt to new testing tools or techniques quickly.

Job responsibilities

Manual Testing: Conduct manual tests to ensure they meet all required specifications and quality standards.
Simulation & Test Vehicle Operations: Perform testing on car simulation rigs as well as physical test vehicles, ensuring accuracy and consistency in all tests.
Certification Support: Provide testing and validation support for the certification process, including the documentation of test results and adherence to standards.
Collaboration: Work closely with internal SW development teams, including SW developers and other testers, to report issues, suggest improvements, and ensure the product meets certification requirements.
Defect Reporting: Log defects found during testing and track them through resolution, collaborating with the development team to ensure prompt fixes.
Documentation: Record and document all testing activities, results, and identified issues in a clear and concise manner, maintaining detailed records for certification purposes.
