Role summary: Hitachi Digital is hiring a Forward Deployed Consultant to work embedded with hospitals and healthcare clinics served by our partnerі. You will define how clinical and operational hospital workflows are implemented on the partner’s platform, taking ambiguous problems from idea to working demonstration and on to production. The role sits at the intersection of technical presales, service design, and UX discovery, and requires an understanding of hospital operations, a technical background, and creativity.
About the partner: partner provides a low-code, cloud-based, modular platform for building, deploying, and managing regulated AI health applications, from ambient AI, clinical decision support, and virtual care to clinical trials and national health platforms.
Requirements
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Health Informatics, Biomedical Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field; a clinical degree combined with strong technical experience is also considered.
7+ years in healthcare technology, consulting, solution design, or technical presales roles.
Direct industry experience with hospitals, physician offices, and/or outpatient health clinics, and a solid understanding of their clinical and operational workflows.
Proven experience in workflow analysis, service design, or UX discovery: running on-site workshops, mapping processes, and turning field insights into business and product requirements.
Builder’s mindset: able to take ambiguous problems from idea to working demonstration within weeks, using low-code or configurable platforms.
Technical background sufficient to scope integrations and prototypes: APIs, data models, cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP), and system integration patterns.
Hands-on experience with clinical data sources (EHR/EMR, HIS, LIS, devices, wearables) and interoperability standards (HL7, FHIR), with a focus on data quality.
Practical understanding of AI/GenAI in healthcare (e.g., ambient documentation, clinical decision support, AI agents) and of its limitations in clinical settings.
Strong communication and facilitation skills with clinical, operational, IT, and executive stakeholders.
Willingness to travel on-site to clients, primarily across the Middle East and Europe.
English at C1 level or higher.

Work directly with partner’s hospital and clinic clients to define how relevant clinical and operational workflows are implemented on the partner’s platform.
Bring a builder’s mindset to ambiguous problem spaces, charting the path from idea to working demonstration; identify new use cases and create business and product requirements that deliver incremental value to the client.
Perform thorough clinical and operational workflow analysis, identify critical areas for value creation, and translate use cases and field insights into designs and requirements for prototype solutions built on partner platform capabilities.
Map applicable data sources and their integration status; apply a data quality focus to uncover potential issues and scope validation frameworks that guide engineering requirements.
Guide the development and iteration of proof-of-concept solutions, integrations, and analytical tools to test new approaches before full-scale implementation.
Support production deployments by coordinating with and advising partner and client teams (infrastructure, functional, business).
Ensure solutions respect patient privacy, security, and applicable regulatory requirements.
Document learnings and outcomes from prototyping to inform product roadmap decisions and reusable patterns.
Build and maintain strong relationships with Hitachi Digital leadership, partner’s leadership, and partner’s clients, understanding their needs and ensuring their satisfaction.
