Description
We are part of the System Design unit, whose purpose is to ensure one consistent PM ACA system design. This means creating and delivering a system design for PC AD by receiving and handshaking all incoming PF and PC requirements—both functional and non-functional. We perform safety analysis according to ISO 26262, ISO 21448 (SOTIF), and our own Safe Driving Policy (SDP). Our work includes feature realization, producing system design documentation (SRD, TSC, FMEA), and harmonizing outgoing requirements across PM ACA and other components. We also coordinate and support system design work in other PM ACA PCs through the System Design HUB, sync meetings, and KPI reporting.
Requirements
Essential qualifications:
Master of Science degree in Engineering or similar competence
Experience in Automotive Product Development
Background in AD/ADAS development
Proficiency in Functional Safety and/or SOTIF
Strong skills in requirements-based system development and technical documentation
Familiarity with requirement tools such as SystemWeaver
Additional experience that’s a plus:
Hands-on experience with system FMEA and safety concepts
Knowledge of architecture principles for complex systems
Experience with Safe Driving Policy (SDP) or similar internal safety frameworks
How to develop and apply AI agents in tool chains

Job responsibilities
As a System Design Engineer, you will be deeply involved in requirement analysis, safety concepts, and system architecture. You will collaborate across teams to ensure feasibility and consistency.
Your responsibilities include:
Reviewing and handshaking incoming AD/ADAS feature requirements
Performing analysis according to ISO 26262, SOTIF, and SDP
Breaking down and harmonizing requirements, allocating them to system components
Using and analysing data from the field via FleetInsight
Creating Technical Safety concepts and system FMEA
Collaboration with verification units with feasibility analysis
Driving and following up system design implementation and perform product demos when requested
Contributing to improving concepts, patterns, and ways of working
