Must have
- Imaging depth across modalities (CT, MR, X-ray or intravascular): segmentation, registration, quantification, and an understanding of how acquisition limits what can be measured.
- Spatial and geometric reasoning: 2D–3D and 3D–3D registration, calibration and device geometry
- DICOM in practice: geometry and acquisition metadata, de-identification pitfalls, vendor differences, PACS and device interfaces.
- Python and the imaging stack (ITK/SimpleITK, VTK, OpenCV, PyTorch or TensorFlow, nnU-Net/MONAI); production-quality code and reproducible experiments.
- Technical leadership and clinical communication; sound judgement under uncertainty, including the ability to say when evidence does not support a promise.
Nice to have
- Regulated development (IEC 62304, ISO 13485, ISO 14971), requirement-to-test traceability.
- Real-time or intra-procedural imaging, device detection and tracking, image-guided intervention.
- Quantitative imaging (perfusion, physiology, tissue characterisation); edge or workstation deployment, latency budgets, MLOps for clinical software.
職務内容
- Assesses feasibility on real clinical data and recommends the scope that can credibly be committed, with the evidence behind it.
- Owns the imaging architecture end to end: ingestion, pre-processing, the geometric backbone (coordinate systems, centrelines, landmarks) and the layers built on it.
- Decides what to build, what to reuse from open source and what to take from a vendor, including licence and quality consequences.
- Owns evaluation as a discipline: metrics, protocols, reference data, and honest reporting of accuracy and failure modes — including for models the team did not train.
- Sets technical direction for the imaging team and reviews its work; day-to-day leadership of each thread stays with senior engineers.
- Keeps manual steps, corrections and initialisations logged and disclosed, so the system’s claims match what it actually does.
- Translates between clinicians and engineers in both directions, and supports quality and regulatory colleagues with imaging evidence.
