  • Sir Peter Bonfield

    Sir Peter

    Bonfield Chairman

    A leading international business executive with over 45 years of experience in the fields of electronics, computers and communications, Sir Peter Bonfield has been involved with a diverse portfolio of companies, operating at the main board level, in the USA, Europe and the Far East. He was appointed as Chairman of GlobalLogic’s Board at the end of 2015.

    Sir Peter currently serves as Chairman of the Board of NXP Semiconductors N.V., The Netherlands; Chair of Council and Senior Pro-Chancellor at Loughborough University, UK; Director of Mentor Graphics Corporation Inc, Oregon, USA; Director of T.S.M.C, Taipei, Taiwan; Board Mentor for CMi, Belgium; Board Director for East West Institute, USA; and Chairman of the Board for East West Institute, U.K.

    Sir Peter is also a Board Member for Longreach Group Advisory, Hong Kong, as well as a Senior Advisor for Alix Partners, London and G3 Good Governance Group, London. Previously, Sir Peter served as Chairman and CEO of ICL and subsequently as CEO of British Telecommunications plc.

  • Jan Babiak



    Jan’s board service focuses on companies that have complex global systems with market-competitive, cutting-edge digital platforms. She currently sits on the Risk Committee and the Audit and Conduct Review Committee for Bank of Montreal, and she is Chair of the Audit Committee and a Finance Committee member for Walgreens Boots Alliance, Inc. Jan’s prior board service includes the Royal Mail and Logica plc. In 2017, she was named by <em>NACD Directorship</em> magazine as one of the most influential people in the boardroom community.

    Prior to her work as a board member, Jan Babiak spent 28 years with Ernst &amp; Young in various board-level and global P&amp;L leadership roles in areas such as Technology Security &amp; Risk Services, Regulatory &amp; Public Policy, and Climate Change &amp; Sustainability.

    Jan holds a BBA in Accounting, an MBA, and has qualifications as a CPA, Certified Information Security Manager (CISM), and former Certified Information Technology Professional (CITP).

  • Rohan Haldea



    Rohan Haldea is currently a Partner in the Tech & Telco team at APAX Partners. He joined Apax in 2007 and is based in the London office. In addition to his role as a member of the board at GlobalLogic, Rohan has been actively involved in portfolio work at NXP Semiconductors, serves as a Director on the Board of EVRY, and also serves as a Trustee of the Apax Foundation.

    Prior to joining Apax Partners, Rohan was an Associate at Bain Capital in their North American private equity division in New York, where he specialized in evaluating and executing transactions in the Industrial, Distribution, and Retail sectors. Prior to that, Rohan was a consultant at McKinsey and Co. in India.

    Rohan holds an MBA from the Harvard Business School and a Bachelor of Technology in Manufacturing Sciences and Engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology, New Delhi.

  • Hafiz Lalani



    Hafiz joined CPPIB in February 2006 in the Toronto office and subsequently moved to CPPIB’s London office in 2013. Hafiz currently sits on the Boards of the following CPPIB investments: GlobalLogic, Hotelbeds, AWAS, and ista. Additional CPPIB investments include Livingston, NEWAsurion, Dorna, and AgCoA.

    Prior to joining CPPIB, Hafiz worked in the Technology, Media & Telecom investment banking group at CIBC World Markets. Prior to CIBC World Markets, Hafiz worked for Millennium Research Group, a boutique research and consulting firm focused in the medical device industry.

    Hafiz holds a Bachelor of Commerce from Queen’s University and is a CFA Charterholder.

  • Salim Nathoo



    Salim Nathoo is a Partner in the Tech & Telco team at Apax Partners and is based in London. Salim joined Apax Partners in 1999, specializing in the Tech & Telecom space. He has both led and participated in a number of key deals, including iGATE, Orange Switzerland, GlobalLogic, Sophos, SMART Technologies, Weather Investments, Tim Hellas, Inmarsat, Promethean, and Mobifon. He has served as advisor and board member to a number of Apax portfolio companies, including iGATE, Orange Switzerland, GlobalLogic, Sophos, SMART Technologies, Weather Investments, Tim Hellas, and Promethean.

    Prior to joining Apax Partners, Salim was an Engagement Manager with McKinsey & Company, where he specialized in advising clients in the telecom sector.

    Salim holds an MBA from INSEAD and an MA in Mathematics from the University of Cambridge.

  • Steve Pusey



    Steve Pusey is the former CTO of Vodafone Group, the world’s second-largest mobile telecommunications company. Over the course of nearly ten years, he took the company to network leadership in nearly every market. Prior to joining Vodafone, Steve was President of the EMEA and Asia regions for Nortel Networks, where he was responsible for all sales, marketing, and customer operations. He also spent five years at British Telecommunications.

    Steve is currently the Board Chairperson for the Vodafone Venture Capitalist unit and represented Vodafone on the GSMA Association Board. He also serves on the Huawei Customer Strategy Board and the HP Customer Advisory Board. Previously, Steve served on the Verizon Wireless JV Board and the IBM Customer Advisory Board, and he was the Chairman for Nortel’s Caty unit.

    Steve attended the Advanced Management Program at Harvard Business School and holds certifications from the Office of the National Coordinator for Health Information Technology (ONC) and the Haas Technical Education Center (HTEC) with distinction.

  • Wally Rhines



    Wally Rhines is a recognized spokesperson for the semiconductor and electronic design automation industries, giving more than 25 keynote addresses at conferences each year and providing leadership in industry consortia, including the Semiconductor Research Corporation and the Electronic Design Automation Consortium. His 40-year history in the semiconductor industry includes 21 years at Texas Instruments, where he was Executive Vice President responsible for the semiconductor business. He is currently Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Mentor Graphics, a leader in worldwide electronic design automation, with a revenue of $1.2 billion. During his tenure at Mentor Graphics, revenue has nearly quadrupled.

    Rhines provides expertise in high technology engineering and business management. He managed TI’s thrust into digital signal processing and supervised that business from inception with the TMS 320 family of DSP’s through growth to become the cornerstone of TI’s semiconductor technology. He supervised the development of the first low-cost speech synthesis chips (used in Speak ‘n Spell) and is co-inventor of the GaN blue-violet light emitting diode (now important for low energy lighting).

    Rhines has served on the boards of high technology public companies, including TriQuint Semiconductor and Cirrus Logic, and on a variety of charitable and university boards. He holds a Bachelor of Science degree in engineering from the University of Michigan, a Master of Science and Ph.D. in materials science and engineering from Stanford University, an MBA from Southern Methodist University, and an Honorary Doctor of Technology from Nottingham Trent University. He combines community service with his love of fine wines by serving on the board of the Portland Classic Wine Auction, and he spends his free time on investment analysis that began by authoring the first publicly available Black-Scholes option modeling software in 1976 and continues today.

  • Shashank Singh



    Shashank Singh is a Partner and Head of Apax Partners’ India office, which he helped establish in 2007. He also serves as a Trustee of the Apax Foundation. Shashank joined Apax in 2004 in London, where he specialized in Tech & Telecom deals. Shashank has led or participated in a number of deals at Apax, including iGATE, Apollo Hospitals, TIM Hellas, Weather Investments, TDC, Bezeq, and Synetrix. He is currently an observer on the Board of iGATE.

    Prior to joining Apax Partners, Shashank was a strategy consultant with Monitor Company, where he advised clients in the telecoms and high technology sectors.

    Shashank has an MBA from Harvard Business School (Baker Scholar), a first class MA in economics from Cambridge University and a BA (Honours) with distinction from St. Stephen’s College (University of Delhi).
