Support during US EST hours (3-11.00 PM)
1. Manage networks in GCP, AWS and Azure
– Create new subnets when needed especially in GCP. And manage existing VPC and all other services included (NAT, LB, Cloud Routers, routing rules, PSC etc.)
– Update and create new firewall rules when needed in different tiers.
– Manage Tailscale devices.
2. Manage Kubernetes clusters
– Manage and troubleshoot issues with existing workloads (APIs).
– Create new workloads when requested.
– Update configurations when requested to support mainly Dev team.
– Manage other Kubernetes resources as needed: services, load balancer, secrets, service accounts.
– Upgrade Kubernetes clusters.
– (this task is still in progress): Keep up to date Git as the only source of truth for all the Kubernetes configurations, including the implementation with ArgoCD.
– Manage and create pub/sub topics and subscriptions as needed by the development team.
3. Manage Jenkins
– Manage permissions in Jenkins for different teams.
– Update existing pipelines and create new ones when needed.
– Resolve different issues in Jenkins especially those that come from package updates.
4. AWS CloudFront
– Update CF configurations as needed and requested by the Dev team.
– Manage WAF rules and update when they are blocking real requests.
5. VM + Redis Caches
– Upgrade VMs based on the schedule specified and resolve issues when needed.
– Upgrade redis caches when needed.
6. IAM
– Manage permissions for different teams in AWS, GCP and Azure.
– Manage permissions for services as needed.
7. AWS Lambda functions & ECS
– This is low maintenance but the remaining Lambda functions need to be updated when system changes happen.
8. Fivetran infrastructure
– Manage Fivetran VMs (especially magnesium-prod) by adding iptable rules and SSH keys when needed.
– Work with Data Engineering team to troubleshoot connectivity issues if present.
9. DNS (Route53)
– Update and create new DNS records when needed. Need to know the difference between different zones and when to use each.
10. Buckets
– Manage existing client and internal buckets. Mostly maintain correct permissions for each bucket.
– Create new buckets either client or internal buckets as needed.
– Work with Data Engineering team to successfully create Snowflake bucket integrations as needed. Also including here maintenance for existing ones.
11. Snowflake SSO
– Manage Azure Enterprise Applications and coordinate with Data Engineering team for necessary updates (especially secret updates)
12. SQL
– Manage existing databases including but not only: backups, restores, database size etc.
– Help team debug issues by looking at the logs if needed.
13. Filemage SFTP
– Create new users based on customer requests.
– Update network rules based on customer request.
– Work with clients to resolve network connectivity issues if present (this might require client calls sometimes).
14. Composer clusters
– Manage and upgrade composer clusters when needed.
– Maintain CI/CD pipelines that are related with the composer clusters.
– Help team troubleshoot network or permissions issues as needed.
(this service is mostly in maintenance mode at this time)
15. CloudRun
– Create and manage CloudRun jobs based on requests from different teams.
– Create CI/CD pipelines as needed.
– Create triggers as needed.
– Manage permissions for different teams and different jobs.
16. Puppet
– Update puppet configurations when needed.
17. Tableau
– Upgrade Tableau service as needed.
– Troubleshoot issues if present.
18. Cost savings
– Check on opportunities to improve cost savings in cloud.
19. Manage GCP secrets as needed. (edited)
