Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Software Engineer / Media Stack Engineer with 6+ years of experience in architecture, design, prototyping, development, and implementation of software for consumer electronic devices. The ideal candidate is strong in multimedia technologies, system-level programming, and performance-driven development.

Requirements

Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Electronics, or a related field.

Strong programming expertise in C, C++/C++11/14/17, and familiarity with JavaScript and JSON.

Hands-on experience building media pipeline stacks and working with video streaming technologies such as DASH, HLS, and Progressive Download.

Practical knowledge of Digital Rights Management systems (e.g., Widevine, PlayReady, FairPlay) and secure media pipelines.

Solid understanding of audio/video formats, including H.264, HEVC, MP4, CMAF, MPEG2-TS, HDR, Dolby Vision, etc.

Experience working with media frameworks such as GStreamer and FFmpeg.

Strong background in multi-threaded programming and inter-process communication (IPC).

Excellent communication, analytical, and problem-solving abilities.

Self-driven, proactive, and a strong team collaborator.

Job responsibilities

Review product requirements and translate them into clear, actionable technical requirements.

Design and architect new features and products while contributing to improvements in existing systems.

Develop prototypes, write design documents, break down technical tasks, and propose effective implementation plans.

Develop core software components, conduct high-quality code reviews, and ensure adherence to architecture and design standards.

Build automation tools to measure product quality and identify defects efficiently.

Within 3 months: Gain the ability to triage bugs independently and implement feature enhancements by collaborating with cross-functional teams.

Within 6 months: Acquire an in-depth understanding of the media stack architecture and contribute to improving performance and user experience.

Within 1 year: Take full ownership of features, driving end-to-end development of new capabilities.
