Description

We are seeking an experienced Cloud Infrastructure Engineer to become a part of the Agentic AI Core platform team. In this high-visibility role, you will build the central infrastructure that enables the bank’s Value Streams to deploy and operate AI Agents securely at scale. You will not just be building agents, you will be building the platform (Runtime, Memory, Gateway) that creates a federated “Agent Operations” environment across the bank’s AWS landscape. You will be working directly with AWS Bedrock’s AgentCore services.

Requirements

Must Have:

• Deep AWS knowledge including AWS GenAI experience.
• Hands-on experience with AWS Bedrock.
• Python: Strong scripting skills for Lambda functions or glue code required to make the AgentCore services interact.
• Specific knowledge of AgentCore components (Runtime, Memory, Identity, Gateway).
• IaC Terraform: Primary requirement for defining the platform resources
• IaC CloudFormation: Ability to work with AWS native templates if required for specific Bedrock features.
• Model Context Protocol (MCP): Understanding of MCP servers and how to configure gateways to access them securely.
• DevOps & CI/CD: Experience building pipelines to publish and update these infrastructure templates for consumer teams.

 

Nice to have:

• Agent Frameworks: Familiarity with LangGraph or Strands. While you are building the platform, the agents running on it will be built in these stacks, so understanding their runtime requirements is crucial.
• Banking/Regulated Industry: Experience delivering cloud solutions in highly regulated environments (UK Banking preferred).

 

Job responsibilities

• Design and deploy the POC environment for the Agentic AI Core using AWS Bedrock AgentCore Services.
• Write robust, reusable Terraform (or CloudFormation) templates to provision:
  *AgentCore Runtime: The compute environment for agent execution.
  *AgentCore Gateway: Secure access points for Agents to reach generic/bespoke tools and MCP (Model Context Protocol) servers.
  *AgentCore Memory: Persistence layers to allow agents to retain knowledge between invocations.
• Architect the solution so it can be distributed as a “template” for other Value Streams to deploy into their isolated AWS accounts.
• Ensure all infrastructure meets strict UK banking regulatory standards (encryption, IAM policies, private connectivity).
