Requirements

7+ years as a SQL Server DBA / Data Engineer, including at least 3+ years working with Azure SQL environments.
Deep experience with SQL Server high availability and disaster recovery (HADR) solutions (Always On Availability Groups, Log Shipping, Replication).
Strong hands-on experience with SQL Server on Azure VMs and Azure SQL Managed Instance.
Proven ability to work within vendor and client environment constraints to deliver workable database solutions.
Strong troubleshooting skills with SQL Server performance, replication latency, and failover events.
Experience with backup/restore strategies, monitoring, and operational best practices in cloud environments.
Experience working with software engineering & devops tools (Github, Jenkins, Docker, etc.) (desired)

Job responsibilities

We are seeking a Senior Database Administrator (DBA) with deep expertise in Microsoft SQL Server on Azure to help stand up a replica of a vendor-supplied database environment. This is a hands-on consulting role requiring strong technical design skills, pragmatic problem-solving, and the ability to work within both vendor-imposed constraints and client infrastructure requirements.

You’ll be responsible for designing and implementing high-availability and replication strategies on Azure, ensuring the system meets client performance, resiliency, and compliance needs.
