Due to intensive growth, GlobalLogic Automotive department is glad to invite System Test Engineer to an Automotive project.
The project aim is to optimize, extend with new features Automotive Solution. Our clients are Tier 1s and OEMs from Europe and USA and development is targeted to Automotive Solution what will be deployed in newest European cars. The project is considered as technical excellence and we are paying huge attention to technical challenge motivation of our team members as well as excellence compensation.
At our project we are building a computer-in-the-car architecture – key for enabling innovation within areas such as advanced connectivity, machine learning and autonomous drive.

Requirements

The System Test Engineer / Developer is a hybrid role focused on ensuring product quality, performance, and reliability through the entire development lifecycle. This role involves designing and implementing comprehensive test strategies, developing automated test frameworks, and executing rigorous testing across both functional and low-level technical domains (e.g., Basetech). The ideal candidate is a proactive problem-solver with a strong technical background, capable of working with vague requirements and transforming manual test cases into scalable, automated solutions often utilizing physical test setups like Box Cars and HIL (Hardware-in-the-Loop) rigs.

Job responsibilities

  • Test Execution and Defect Management
    Execute a variety of tests, including functional, exploratory, regression (diagnostics, communication, etc.).
    Analyze test results, document a summary report, and identify the root cause of failures, differentiating between product defects and rig/environment issues.
    Create and manage detailed fault reports and bug tickets for identified product defects.
  • Test Setup Maintenance and HIL/Box Car Operations
    Take responsibility for the proper operation and maintenance of complex test setups, including Box Cars (test benches/rigs) and HIL (Hardware-in-the-Loop) systems.
    Prepare test objects (e.g., vehicles/rigs) by ensuring correct hardware and software baselines are installed and configured.
    Perform necessary hardware upgrades and technical maintenance in collaboration with engineering teams.
    Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to the testing rig or environment (e.g., invalid HW versions, connections to Box Cars) and implement countermeasures.
  • Test Automation and Development
    Design, develop, and maintain automated test scripts and frameworks to improve testing efficiency and coverage, particularly for repetitive and complex test cases.
    Identify, propose, and implement automation work packages to continuously increase the level of test automation.
    Utilize and interpret data from logs generated by automation and rig environments (e.g., using Python, CAPL, and/or C#).
    Test Setup Maintenance (Physical/Hardware Focus)
    Take responsibility for the proper operation and maintenance of complex test setups (e.g., physical car setups, hardware-in-the-loop systems).
    Prepare test objects (e.g., vehicles/rigs) by ensuring correct hardware and software baselines are installed and configured.
    Perform necessary hardware upgrades and technical maintenance in collaboration with engineering teams.
