The digital engineering leader ranks in the top 5% globally for sustainability performance while validating new carbon-reducing AI architectures.
GlobalLogic Inc., a Hitachi Group Company and leader in digital engineering, has reached a dual milestone in its commitment to purpose-driven sustainability: achieving a Gold medal from EcoVadis and earning recognition from the European Green Digital Coalition (EGDC) for its AI carbon reduction initiatives.
Placing in the 98th percentile globally, the EcoVadis Gold rating ranks GlobalLogic among the top 5% of more than 150,000 assessed companies. Building on its 2024 Silver status, this top-tier rating reflects GlobalLogic’s continuous, measurable progress in embedding environmental stewardship, labor rights, and ethical governance across its global operations.
Simultaneously, GlobalLogic’s tangible contributions to sustainable technology have been highlighted in an ex-post assessment by the EGDC. Supported by the European Commission and Parliament at the EU Council’s request, the EGDC unites companies to use digital solutions for reducing emissions across key sectors. The coalition recently featured GlobalLogic’s Agentic Operation Management (AOM) – an enterprise operating layer for AI agents – as a successful use case for reducing the environmental footprint of artificial intelligence models.
The EGDC case study validates the impact of AOM’s “model right-sizing,” an approach that helps organizations select energy-efficient AI models based on business requirements without sacrificing performance. Tested within GlobalLogic’s operations between December 2025 and April 2026, the solution demonstrated measurable reductions in estimated carbon emissions and electricity consumption per API request, with corresponding estimated cost savings. Beyond right-sizing, AOM also supports response caching to help avoid redundant AI computations and potentially reduce energy consumption.
The EcoVadis assessment evaluates 21 sustainability criteria based on international standards, including the Ten Principles of the UN Global Compact, the International Labour Organization (ILO) conventions, the Global Reporting Initiative (GRI) standards, and ISO 26000.
