Internship: AI in Battery Management Systems (BMS) – Summer Edition

Step into a world where energy meets intelligence. We invite ambitious students and technology enthusiasts to join a unique edition of our Summer Internship program: Accelerator BMS.
This year, we are merging the power of Artificial Intelligence with the critical field of Battery Management Systems. Working in collaboration with the West Pomeranian University of Technology (ZUT) and GlobalLogic, you will dive into the “AI World.” You won’t just be observing; you will be building intelligent solutions—from predicting battery health to integrating LLMs into technical workflows—that bridge the gap between hardware and creative programming.

What will you focus on? Depending on your profile, you will dive into:

• AI-Assisted Development: Supporting BMS software creation using AI tools.
• Predictive Analytics: Applying ML to translate formulas into real-time SoC (State of Charge) and SoH (State of Health) indicators.
• GenAI & LLMs: Building intelligent interfaces and automated technical documentation analysis for battery systems.
• Data & Cloud: Managing battery data flows using Python and cloud-based architectures.
• Embedded Intelligence: Implementing smart algorithms directly into microcontrollers.

Note to Candidates: This internship is the “Summer Phase” of the Accelerator BMS project. While the student circle officially scales in October, joining the summer program gives you a head start with professional tools and expert networking.

Requirements

• Passion for Innovation: A desire to understand what’s “under the hood” of both AI models and modern energy systems.
• Academic Foundation: Solid basics in circuit theory, mathematics, or physics of cells (ideally ZUT students).
• Technical Interest: Basic understanding of at least one area: Python, Embedded C, Data Science, or UI/UX.
• Growth Mindset: Ability to learn project-specific tools and navigate technical documentation.
• Soft Skills: Strong teamwork ethics and a problem-solving attitude.
• Language: Good communication skills in English and Polish.

Job responsibilities

• Collaborate: Work in a Scrum methodology (Daily meetings, Sprints, Retrospectives).
• Develop: Build Proof of Concept (PoC) cycles for BMS modules.
• Analyze: Review requirements and test design specifications for battery safety and efficiency.
• Document: Track progress, report status, and write bug reports for identified issues.
• Innovate: Contribute your own ideas to enhance how AI interacts with battery hardware.
