We are cooperating with a big EU company which plays a leading role in the global market of communication, security and digital services solutions. The product we are developing is the next generation system which enables distributed communication and media services for distributed users via voice and video calls, texting, voice messages, money transfer, etc. This product is a part of a bigger ecosystem which includes security control systems, solutions for user access to media on devices, such as unique set-top-box, kiosk, PC or tablet. Our client is driven by modern technology solutions and quality excellence.
As a Lead DevOps Engineer, you will step into a high-visibility, high-impact role critical to the strategic success of this partnership. You will be the technical anchor responsible for resolving complex automation bottlenecks, accelerating delivery velocity through automated code promotion, and instilling rigorous shift-left quality practices. By introducing Platform Engineering paradigms and delivering technical excellence, you will directly influence the client’s engineering roadmap and redefine the standard of quality for their next-generation ecosystem.
Requirements
Hard Skills:
- 8+ years of proven DevOps experience, with a strong focus on principal-level Azure cloud processes development.
- Expertise in Platform Engineering: Ability to design modern internal developer platforms and demonstrate the “art of the possible” to client stakeholders.
- Advanced Pipeline Automation: Deep experience architecting end-to-end CI/CD pipelines with a specific focus on automated code promotion across multi-stage environments.
- Shift-Left Quality Integration: Proven track record of embedding automated testing, security gates, and quality checks early in the development lifecycle to achieve left-shifting of bugs.
- Expert knowledge of Azure Monitoring, Dashboarding, and Alerting to build resilient observability frameworks.
- Mastery of Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform and Azure DevOps Pipelines.
- Extensive experience managing and scaling Kubernetes clusters and containerized applications.
- Strong scripting skills in languages like Python, Bash, or PowerShell.
- English: Proven fluent written and speaking skills, with the ability to confidently present technical strategies in front of senior client leadership.

- High-Impact Technical Leader: A proactive, consultative engineer who actively proposes innovative technical improvements and opportunities rather than taking orders.
- Natural Communicator & Influencer: Excellent stakeholder management skills, capable of winning client trust, navigating critical relationships, and driving alignment across teams.
- Team integrator focused on very active collaboration and elevating the engineering culture.
Would be a plus:
- Microsoft Certified: DevOps Engineer Expert (AZ-400) and Azure Fundamentals (AZ-900).
- Experience with VoIP ecosystems and MS Blazor.
Job responsibilities
- Define the Platform Engineering Vision: Establish and execute a state-of-the-art infrastructure strategy that showcases modern automation capabilities to the client.
- Optimize Automated Pipelines: Design, build, and maintain robust Azure DevOps pipelines specifically engineered for reliable, seamless auto-code promotion.
- Drive Shift-Left Practices: Collaborate with QA and development teams to implement and automate comprehensive test frameworks within the CI/CD lifecycle to catch bugs early.
- Architect Azure Cloud Solutions: Create, update, and maintain enterprise-grade resource definitions in Git repositories using IaC best practices.
- Elevate Observability: Revamp and manage Azure Monitoring and alerting configurations to proactively diagnose, troubleshoot, and resolve production system issues.
- Consult and Document: Act as the primary technical authority for data scientists, data engineers, and architects, clearly documenting advanced DevOps processes and modernizing delivery workflows.
- Support, maintain, and optimize production and development environments to guarantee high availability and performance.
