Our customer (originally the Minnesota Mining and Manufacturing Company) is an American multinational conglomerate operating in the fields of industry, worker safety, and consumer goods. Based in the Saint Paul suburb of Maplewood, the company produces over 60,000 products, including adhesives, abrasives, laminates, passive fire protection, personal protective equipment, window films, paint protection film, electrical, electronic connecting, insulating materials, car-care products, electronic circuits, and optical films.

Requirements

We are seeking an experienced and strategic Program Manager to lead one of our key client accounts. This role requires strong leadership, financial acumen, and the ability to drive business growth while ensuring operational excellence. The Program Manager will oversee a large-scale account with 70+ FTEs, manage client relationships at the top management level, and be directly responsible for financial performance, strategic account development, and long-term partnership success.

The ideal candidate has a proven track record of managing complex IT programs, strong business development skills, and the ability to align delivery with both client and company objectives.

Job responsibilities

Account Management & Client Engagement

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for the client’s executive stakeholders.
  • Build and maintain trusted long-term relationships, ensuring client satisfaction and business continuity.
  • Anticipate client needs and proactively address challenges and opportunities.

Program Leadership

  • Lead and manage delivery across a distributed team of 70+ FTEs, ensuring high-quality execution.
  • Oversee program governance, reporting, and performance tracking.
  • Drive continuous improvement in delivery processes, tools, and methodologies.

Financial Management

  • Own the financial performance of the account, including budgeting, forecasting, P&L management, and margin optimization.
  • Ensure contract compliance and accurate financial reporting.
  • Identify cost-saving and efficiency opportunities.

Strategic Business Development

  • Develop and execute long-term account growth strategies in alignment with company objectives.
  • Drive pre-sales activities, including proposal preparation, solution design, and client presentations.
  • Identify cross-sell and upsell opportunities to expand the scope of services.

Contracts & Compliance

  • Lead contract negotiations and ensure compliance with agreed terms and conditions.
  • Manage risks, SLAs, and escalations effectively.
  • Ensure alignment with legal and regulatory requirements.

Leadership & Team Development

  • Mentor and guide delivery managers, project managers, and team leads.
  • Foster a high-performance culture, ensuring talent retention and career growth of team members.
  • Promote collaboration across delivery, sales, finance, and operations.
