Description
The Team/Technical Leader serves as the primary technical and commercial interface between the supplier team and the Client’s assigned Product Owner (PO). This role is responsible for overseeing the successful operation, maintenance, quality assurance, and continuous improvement of all Complete Level Test Objects (HILs, VILs, Boxcars, Cars). The leader is expected to drive task execution, ensure the rigs are consistently functional with high quality, and manage a team of 4-5 engineers.
Requirements
Proven experience as a Technical Leader or Team Lead, preferably in an automotive V&V or HIL/VIL rig environment.
Strong technical background in rig building, development, and operation (HIL/VIL/Boxcar).
Excellent communication and organizational skills, acting as a bridge between technical execution and customer requirements (PO features).
Familiarity with Agile processes (VIRA), defining the Definition of Done and Acceptance Criteria.
Experience in measuring and reporting deliverables (e.g., # rig updates, # TST developed/run, quality improvements).
Job responsibilities
Stakeholder Management: Act as the main point of contact, ensuring alignment between team deliverables and PO features, Stories/Tasks, and roadmaps defined in VIRA.
Rig Maintenance & Operation:
Ensure the complete HILs and other Complete level Test Objects (VIL, Boxcar, Car) are always up and running with quality, acting as the first line of support to users (testers and developers).
Oversee the ordering and updating of rig hardware (HW) and software (SW) Baselines.
Manage the release of new SDF files used in the complete HILs.
Ensure computers and equipment are kept up to date and fully functional, and maintain lab organization.
Ensure sanity tests are run to guarantee the proper operation of the rigs.
Development & Quality Improvement:
Drive the development, streamlining, running, and analysis of Test System Tests (TST).
Oversee fault tracing of issues that occur and ensure follow-up and care for resulting faults.
Manage improvements and updates of existing Complete level Test Object capabilities, and the development of new capabilities.
Documentation & Standards: Ensure the team documents work following ordinary Ways of Working (WoW) and adheres to Client Standards when applicable, utilizing documentation tools like Sphinx, VIRA, HW Specifications, Test descriptions, and Git/Gerrit.
