Job Summary
The Senior Technical Business Analyst (Sr. TBA) with 8+ years experience , plays a strategic leadership role in enterprise data conversion and modernization initiatives. This role partners with multiple legacy source systems and target application teams to lead complex data impact analysis, metadata-driven rules definition, and end-to-end conversion requirements supporting the Informatica IDMC-based Data Conversion Platform.
The Sr. TBA is responsible for ensuring accuracy, completeness, and governance of business object mappings, validation rules, and transformation logic across ILF, MTT, CURR, CSA, and DLO components, enabling reliable and auditable data migrations at scale.
Job responsibilities
Key Responsibilities
Lead advanced data impact analysis across multiple legacy and target systems, identifying data gaps, dependencies, and transformation requirements.
Own end-to-end definition of business object mappings, ILF population rules, and metadata-driven transformation logic.
Drive creation, validation, and governance of Mapping Translation Tables (MTT), Conversion Unified Rules Repository (CURR), and policy-controlled validation rules.
Partner with solution architects, ETL engineers, and application SMEs to ensure cross-object referential integrity and conversion design alignment.
Instrument to use AI/GenAI tools like Cursor/ Claude to FastTrack the capabilities for conversion
Provide functional leadership to IDMC engineering teams by clarifying transformation logic, exception handling, and validation thresholds.
Analyze reconciliation gaps and data quality issues identified during mock runs, dry runs, and DLO test-mode executions.
Serve as subject matter expert for customer, account, subscriber, product, billing, and usage data domain modeling.
Facilitate technical workshops, design reviews, and requirement sign-offs with cross-functional stakeholders.
Produce high-quality documentation including functional requirements, mapping specifications, rule definitions, and conversion readiness artifacts.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
8+ years of Business Analysis experience supporting large-scale data migration, ETL, or enterprise modernization programs.
Strong understanding of ETL concepts, metadata-driven transformation frameworks, validation rules, and reconciliation strategies.
Hands-on experience supporting Informatica IDMC, IICS, or PowerCenter-based solutions.
Advanced SQL skills for data profiling, lineage analysis, rule validation, and defect triage.
Demonstrated ability to work across multiple application teams with incomplete or evolving legacy documentation.
Strong communication and leadership skills, with the ability to translate complex technical concepts into business-friendly language.
Proficient to use AI tools like Claude or Cursor to fast track conversion work.
Preferred Qualifications
Prior experience in telecom, financial services, or other highly regulated industries.
Experience working with Integrated Logical File (ILF) patterns and metadata repositories.
Familiarity with data governance, audit readiness, and PII compliance requirements.
Experience supporting large-scale cutover events and production data migrations.
