Description

The project team is part of a commercial software delivery organization focused on building and maintaining customer-facing applications. The department works in an agile environment, collaborating closely with developers, product owners, and stakeholders to deliver high-quality, reliable solutions. The team is expanding and is looking for a motivated QA Trainee to join and grow within a real commercial project.

Requirements

  • Basic understanding of software development lifecycle (SDLC) and QA principles
  • Understanding of manual testing fundamentals (test cases, test plans, bug reports)
  • Basic knowledge of types of testing (functional, regression, smoke, exploratory)
  • Familiarity with defect lifecycle and bug tracking systems (e.g., Jira)
  • Basic understanding of web applications
  • Basic knowledge of SQL
  • English at Intermediate level or higher (reading technical documentation, basic communication)
  • Strong analytical thinking and attention to detail
  • Ability to work in a team and follow instructions
  • Willingness to learn, accept feedback, and improve skills
  • Good time management and responsibility for assigned tasks
  • Technical or IT-related education (completed or in progress) — a plus

Job responsibilities

  • Learn and apply QA processes, standards, and best practices used on the project
  • Execute manual test cases and checklists under supervision
  • Perform smoke, functional, and regression testing of web or mobile applications
  • Identify, document, and track defects in a bug tracking system (e.g., Jira)
  • Verify bug fixes and support regression cycles
  • Review requirements, specifications, and acceptance criteria to clarify test scope
  • Collaborate with QA engineers, developers, and project team members
  • Participate in daily stand-ups, sprint reviews, and QA meetings
  • Maintain test documentation and test execution reports
  • Continuously improve testing skills and domain knowledge through mentoring and training
