In our projects, we focus on the design and development of middleware components for a Linux-based operating system in connected cars. We work in the areas of remote software update, telematics & connectivity, context-aware systems, and application platforms.

Olena, Test Engineer Quality Assurance, just freshly came to the Berlin office in July from Ukraine. Her job is to test firmware on different digital media players to assure proper quality of video and audio content streaming on different channels.
In Berlin, she works from the office with two of her colleagues. They are a small team but belong to a large project, so they have sync ups with more than a hundred people.
She especially cherishes the team spirit, well-structured processes and development opportunities. In one word, Olena would describe GlobalLogic Germany as “inspiring”. She likes that employees’ work-life balance is so important to the company.
In her free time, she likes to visit concerts and new places. Like most GlobalLogic employees, she values internationality and likes to travel. Her favorite destination is Sweden because she loves Fika (Swedish coffee), Kanelbullar (cinnamon rolls) and the Swedish attitude to life. The nerdiest thing she currently does is rereading Harry Potter.
Christian, Senior Software Engineer, is currently working on a series development for a big German OEM. He enjoys working in such a dynamic environment while raising awareness for functional safety in the automotive industry, internally and externally.
On an average day, Christian participates in the daily standup, alignment and steering meetings and works on planned tasks involving the review and inspection of safety related supplier documentation and the definition of safety related processes.
What Christian enjoys most about his daily work is digging into complex activities, interacting with different customers and spreading the topic of functional safety in training sessions. His favorite working spot is his desk where all the stuff he needs is available – but for reading or reviewing documents he also likes working on his balcony.
In his free time, he likes to go out for a run, ride his bike and go hiking. The nerdiest thing he currently does is learning Python. His favorite travel destination is Sri Lanka because of the nice and calm people, the culture and of course the food.
