Description
We are looking for an Program Manager – Embedded Systems to lead complex automotive software programs within the Infotainment & Connectivity domain.
The role will be responsible for driving end-to-end program execution across embedded software development, infotainment platforms, connectivity, UX, system integration, validation, certification, suppliers and key technology partners. The Program Manager will work closely with Product Owners, Engineering Managers, software teams, system teams, suppliers and senior stakeholders to ensure delivery of high-quality products according to agreed scope, timeline, cost and quality targets.
The ideal candidate combines strong program management and leadership capabilities with a solid understanding of automotive embedded software and infotainment technologies. Experience with Android Automotive, Linux, cloud/connectivity ecosystems, cybersecurity, software certification and automotive OEM environments is highly desirable.
Requirements
- 10+ years of experience in software/embedded systems, automotive software or related technology programs.
- Proven experience as a Program Manager, Project Manager or equivalent leadership role in an automotive software environment.
- Strong experience managing complex, multi-team software programs.
- Experience with automotive infotainment and/or connectivity systems.
- Strong understanding of embedded software development and software lifecycle management.
- Experience working with automotive OEMs, Tier-1 suppliers or technology partners.
- Strong stakeholder and supplier management skills.
- Experience with Agile/Scrum methodologies.
- Experience managing program schedules, resources, risks, dependencies and budgets.
- Strong communication, presentation and leadership skills.
- Ability to operate effectively in a complex, international and cross-functional organization.
Job responsibilities
- Own and drive end-to-end delivery of automotive infotainment and connectivity programs from planning through production and software releases.
- Establish program scope, objectives, milestones, release plans, dependencies and delivery governance.
- Drive execution across multiple engineering teams, Product Owners, Engineering Managers and external partners.
- Monitor progress against scope, schedule, quality and budget commitments.
- Proactively identify and resolve risks, issues, dependencies and engineering roadblocks.
- Drive release readiness, quality reviews and go/no-go decisions.
- Ensure alignment between product vision, technical implementation and customer/business requirements.
- Establish transparent reporting and communicate program status to senior management and key stakeholders.
