Requirements

Role Overview: You will join a focused team of developers responsible for the design and implementation of an Airflow orchestration layer. Your role is central to modernizing automation by transitioning complex processes to a robust, scalable environment

 

Technical Experience & Skills:
• Apache Airflow Mastery: At least 3 years of experience developing and implementing ETL/ELT workflows specifically within the Apache Airflow environment.
• Python Programming: Proven and strong proficiency in Python, essential for creating DAGs and custom integrations.
• Integration Expertise: Practical experience in connecting workflows with various data sources, including SQL databases, REST APIs, and cloud services.
• Migration Skills: Ability to analyze legacy Jenkins workflows and successfully migrate their logic into Apache Airflow.
• DevOps & Agile Practices: Solid experience working in Agile teams and a thorough understanding of CI/CD processes

Job responsibilities

Key Responsibilities:
• Workflow Development: You will design and implement complete Airflow workflows, including process mapping and the selection of technical solutions for integrations with external APIs and systems.
• Legacy Transition: A major focus of this role is the migration of existing Jenkins workflows to Apache Airflow, ensuring all logic is preserved and optimized for the new environment.
• Operational Management: You will be responsible for operating and maintaining the Airflow scheduler, ensuring that all tasks run reliably and addressing any operational issues.
• Collaborative Agile Delivery: You will participate in daily and weekly stand-ups to coordinate with other software teams, share status updates, and resolve impediments quickly.
• Standardization: All deliverables, including design specifications and execution plans, must be documented according to Volvo Cars Standards (VCS
