Description

GlobalLogic is looking for a Map Editor / GIS Specialist with hands-on experience in creating, modifying, and deleting map features such as roads, POIs, lanes, bridges, intersections, and highways. The role involves editing existing maps and adding new data layers to ensure accurate, high-quality digital maps aligned with defined quality metrics and SLA-based ticket resolution standards.

Requirements

• Minimum 1+ experience working on Roads / Navigation / Highways mapping projects (LG / IR / IS).
• Hands-on experience in creating, modifying, and deleting roads or map features.
• Strong understanding of lane guidance / lane mapping concepts and familiarity with map editing tools and GIS platforms.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent attention to detail and ability to manage large volumes of data efficiently.
• Good internet navigation and data research skills.
• Excellent team collaboration and interpersonal communication.
• Must possess any graduation degree (Must have Provisional Certificate & Consolidated Marks Memo)
• Must be willing to work from office & in rotational shifts (5 Working Days & 2 Week Offs)
• Must be ready to join immediately

Job responsibilities

• Create, modify, and delete digital map features, including: Roads, POIs, lanes, bridges, intersections, and highways; LG (Local Geometry), IR (Important Roads), and IS (Intersections).
• Edit and update existing maps with precision and adherence to project guidelines.
• Perform lane guidance / lane mapping activities with attention to local and highway networks.
• Manage and maintain accurate geographic data within mapping tools.
• Deliver outputs as per quality and productivity metrics.
• Resolve tickets and tasks within defined SLAs.
• Conduct data validation and ensure consistency across datasets.
• Collaborate with team members to address mapping issues and enhance data quality.
