Job Title: Senior Automation Engineer, Mobile BYOD Application

Experience: 10+ years , ideally with a strong portfolio showcasing practical application of skills

About the Role:

We are is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Automation Engineer to play a pivotal role in the BYOD project. This project focuses on enabling a mobile application release under a Bring Your Own Device (BYOD) framework, initially targeting Android & IOS devices. The successful candidate will be instrumental in designing, developing, and implementing a custom end-to-end automation framework to ensure the quality and compatibility of the mobile application across various devices and complex system interactions

 

Job responsibilities

Key Responsibilities:
• Lead the development of automation tests for the current mobile application test cases.
• Design and implement a custom end-to-end automation framework tailored for complex interactions involving Hardware (via API), the Mobile App, and Backend API services.
• Automate a significant volume of manual test cases , ensuring efficient and time-effective test execution.
• Develop and execute automation scripts for thorough verification of Android/IOS device compatibility and overall BYOD readiness of the application.
• Extend test automation support to include end-to-end testing.
• Collaborate closely with development and QA teams to ensure the automation framework effectively supports testing on a variety of devices.
• Contribute to the overall test strategy, focusing on maximizing automation coverage within the mobile device scope.
• Work with the existing codebase, ensuring automation efforts align with and support the restructuring required for BYOD compatibility.

Required Skills & Qualifications:
• Extensive experience in mobile application test automation, specifically with Android platforms.
• Proven expertise in designing and developing robust, custom end-to-end automation frameworks.
• Strong understanding and experience with complex system interactions, including hardware integration (via API), mobile applications, and backend API services.
• Proficiency in relevant automation tools and programming languages.
• Experience with API testing and integration with various devices and services.
• Familiarity with the challenges and best practices of Bring Your Own Device (BYOD) environments.
• Ability to work effectively with existing codebases and adapt to specific project assumptions, such as no resolution of pre-existing application issues or modification of existing architecture beyond BYOD support.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

• Experience with iOS mobile application testing and automation.
• Understanding of Mobile Device Management (MDM) and Mobile Application Management (MAM) strategies.
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines for integrating automation tests.
