About the Role:

We are looking for a Senior Automation QA Engineer with strong experience in Java and Hibernate to lead and contribute to our test automation initiatives. This role plays a key part in ensuring our software meets the highest quality standards by developing robust automation frameworks, defining testing strategies, and mentoring other engineers.
As a senior member of the QA team, you will be responsible for maintaining test processes and standards, driving code quality through peer reviews, and being actively involved in all phases of the product lifecycle.

 

Must-Have Skills:

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology Field
• Strong programming skills in Java
• Experience with Hibernate
• Proven experience in designing and implementing automation frameworks
• Solid understanding of software QA methodologies, tools, and processes
• Experience with version control systems (e.g., Git), CI/CD tools, and bug tracking systems
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
• Excellent communication and team collaboration abilities

Nice to Have:

• Experience in performance or security testing
• Familiarity with tools like Selenium, TestNG, JUnit, Cucumber, or similar frameworks
• Knowledge of cloud environments (e.g., AWS, Azure)
• ISTQB or other relevant QA certifications

Job responsibilities

Key Responsibilities:

• Automation Test Strategy and Standards
• Design and maintain automation test strategies for multiple projects and teams
• Define and enforce standards for test automation development and execution
• Participate in and lead peer reviews to ensure the quality, reusability, and maintainability of the codebase

Testing Coverage

• Ensure efficient and effective test coverage based on business requirements, codebase, and project goals
• Provide guidance on test scenarios to maximize test effectiveness

Code Quality and Best Practices

• Write clean, maintainable, and scalable automation code
• Enforce adherence to coding standards across the QA team through regular code reviews
• Evaluate and recommend new frameworks, tools, or practices with an emphasis on performance, security, and maintainability

Mentorship & Process Improvement

• Act as a mentor to other QA engineers, fostering technical growth and consistency across the team
• Support team members in adopting and applying current QA processes and best practices
• Actively participate in all stages of the product lifecycle and suggest improvements in testing and development processes
