Description

Our client is dedicated to making safe, intelligent mobility a reality. Headquartered in Sweden, they develop a complete, scalable software stack for ADAS and autonomous driving—from sensing to actuation—soon to launch with a major global automaker.

Driven by the goal of reducing fatal accidents by 85%, their team of 500+ global engineers combines technical excellence with a shared passion for saving lives. The company values a T-shaped competence profile, prioritizing a strong mindset, responsibility, and collaboration over pure skillset. They offer a flexible hybrid work environment where ambition, mentorship, and software craftsmanship thrive.

Requirements

To be considered for this expert role, you must demonstrate the following:

The “Expert” Criteria
Proven Experience: You must have a substantial history of previous work-life experience specifically in MLOps. Theoretical knowledge or certifications alone are insufficient. You have successfully deployed ML models to production in a corporate or industrial setting before.

Technical Core

  • Programming: Mastery of Python for both scripting and building complex applications.
  • Database Design: Expert-level skills in SQL design and usage; ability to architect efficient data storage solutions.
  • Data Specialization: Deep experience handling Time-Series Data (e.g., handling windowing, seasonality, high-frequency ingestion).

Infrastructure & Platform

  • Containerization: Advanced proficiency with Kubernetes and OpenShift.
  • HPC Schedulers: Hands-on experience with PBS (Portable Batch System) and integrating it with modern ML workflows.
  • API Development: Strong ability in API design (REST/gRPC) for exposing ML capabilities to external systems.

Engineering Fundamentals

  • Software Engineering: A strong background in core software engineering principles, algorithms, and system design
  • Data Engineering: Ability to build the “plumbing” that feeds the models, not just the models themselves.

Nice-to-Haves

  • Experience with specific time-series databases (e.g., InfluxDB, TimescaleDB).
  • Experience with workflow orchestration tools (e.g., Airflow, Kubeflow, Argo).
  • Background in High-Performance Computing (HPC).

Job responsibilities

The team’s mission is to ensure that the DL neural network is at all times ready to be shipped in the product. To achieve that goal, the teams’ tasks include setting up a continuous training and evaluation pipeline, providing KPI observability, organizing model version and lineage tracking, handling artifacts, as well as being a provider of tools. As a member of this team, you will be a major enabler for DL development.
You will work closely with:

  • Teams in the MLOps area, to ensure a flow of models from training to deployment in the car
  • DL teams to provide them with tools, services, and automation
  • DL backbone teams to build the fundamental training and eval procedures, and ensure training speed and reliability
  • DevOps and IT teams for deployments, providing tools, and working with server clusters

In many ways, you will build bridges between all DL areas and surrounding enabler teams.

Your mission and day-to-day tasks

  • Ensure continuous training of the main DL model. Define the training schedule, maintain the stability of the training through CI testing, monitor, and improve training speed and resource usage.
  • Provide full observability of the model KPIs, including the evolution of metrics over time, per-use-case breakdown, low-level metrics of the PyTorch model, high-level metrics of the deployed and integrated model, etc.
  • Enable full traceability from the model deployed in the product to the data, configuration parameters, and code used to train it.
  • Provide a centralized platform for experiment tracking.
  • Assist DL task teams with workflow automation.
