Requirements & Qualifications

Advanced Linux Expertise: Proven experience managing RedHat, Unix-based systems, and VMware/Cloud environments at scale.
Automation Mindset: Strong proficiency in Ansible, Terraform, or similar configuration management tools.
Security Acumen: Deep understanding of vulnerability management frameworks and the ability to interpret security audit requirements.
Stakeholder Management: Exceptional communication skills with the ability to lead meetings and influence teams across different departments.
Technical Scripting: Proficiency in at least one scripting language (Python, Bash) and familiarity with SQL for database-driven application support.
Critical Environment Experience: Previous experience in high-availability sectors (like Telco or Banking) is highly preferred.

Requirements

Role Overview
As the Infrastructure Patching & Vulnerability Management Lead, you will be the primary owner of the server lifecycle and security remediation process across our Telco infrastructure. This is a high-impact, hybrid role that combines deep technical expertise in Linux environments with strategic leadership. You will not only execute technical updates but also act as the central coordinator, aligning Security, Development, and Operations teams to ensure system integrity with zero business disruption.

Job responsibilities

Key Responsibilities
Cross-Team Leadership: Lead the coordination and communication strategy for maintenance windows, negotiating with Application Owners and Stakeholders to balance security needs with service availability.
End-to-End Patch Management: Design, implement, and oversee the automated patching workflow for thousands of on-prem and cloud-based assets (RedHat/Unix).
Vulnerability Remediation: Analyze CVEs and security scan results to prioritize remediation efforts based on risk, criticality, and Telco-specific SLAs.
Automation & Scalability: Develop and maintain automation playbooks (e.g., Ansible, Python, or Bash) to move away from manual patching and ensure consistent environment states.
Incident Management: Lead troubleshooting and root-cause analysis (RCA) for complex issues arising from software updates or configuration changes.
Compliance & Reporting: Act as the point of truth for infrastructure compliance, providing regular reports to management regarding the security posture of the fleet.
